BREAKING: Young Woman Killed And Several Wounded When Killer Opens Fire In Austin, TX

Shots ring out, people scream in cell-phone footage of the chaos in downtown Austin, Texas.

A woman has been shot dead and several people have been injured after a gunman opened fire in Austin.

A victim, who was in her 30s, has died and at least three more people were shot, Austin-County Emergency Medical Services said.

Police said two separate shootings took place in the same area of the Texas city and that both scenes were secure.
Cops are now searching for the gunman but insist the two scenes are secure.

Three people have been taken for treatment at University Medical Center Brackenridge, CNN reported. Their conditions are not known.

The shootings took place outside bars and clubs on East 6th Street and San Jacinto Boulevard.
