Obama & Clinton. It’s a classic love-hate relationship. But am I the only one a little suspicious about what brought them back together again?
Remember those personal attacks back in 2008? There were some doozies. Gloves were off. Clinton’s contempt while painting Obama as a political Pollyanna promising to “wave a wand” was a good example. So was Obama’s commercial calling Hillary a liar who would say anything to get elected. And “Yes We Can” expect that one to make the rounds again this year.
Obama & Clinton. They were obstacles to each other’s personal power. And each ran representing a special interest group whose time they thought had come.
Obama & Clinton. He won. She didn’t. Eventually, she got the Secretary of State. Which blew up with the whole Benghazi fiasco. Obama had his chance to destroy her, by simply letting the FBI and the justice system roast her. The politics of personal destruction are their bread and butter. He could have, but he didn’t. Why? Why are Obama & Hillary now together like burgers and fries?
Could it just be a classic a cover-your-ass play? She knows where all the bodies are hidden (So to speak) and if she flames out, she’s taking everyone else down with her? Or does he want other perks she could give him if she takes office.
There’s the UN Secretary-General position he’s been eyeing. So that’s one possibility. That would be bad enough. But there is an even worse one. Remember in January when people asked whether she would nominate Barack Obama to the empty seat in the Supreme Court? What was her reply?
“Wow, what a great idea. Nobody has ever suggested that to me. Wow. I love that.”
GOD. HELP. US. ALL.
If you think Obama abused his pen and his phone before, just wait until he’s got a plum appointment like that. You ain’t seen nothing yet.
Can you imagine? A “Constitutional Expert” (I do not think that word means what they think it means) with his –uh– qualities, and his willingness to put agenda ahead of the rules. The Supreme Court already slapped down some of his initiatives, and then tied itself in knots to pass others like Obamacare. Obama and his judgment added to the Supreme Court? He’d be as welcome as syphilis.
Can you imagine his squeal of glee if a 2nd Amendment case, or a case concerning Transgender issues or Race came before him? He’s already shown that he does not believe in the presumption of innocence. (“If I had a son, he’d look like…”) He paints groups with broad brushes, and is surprised when those words tear at old wounds. (Police departments and their “systemic racism”.)
For pity’s sake, he started his own path to the Presidency in the living room of Ayers. Ayers is an unrepentant member of the Weather Underground… a group that bombed a police station.
Cynical? Nah. Surely Obama is an “honorable man”. He would NEVER cash in his chips for a political favor, would he? Because that would be unethical. And weren’t we all told that he’s basically the promised messiah? Sure. And he’s got a bridge to sell ya, too.
