Things got dicey pretty fast in that night in Charlotte. While SOME got hurt, others were left alone. See if you can spot the difference-maker.
The first guy was jumped in a parking lot. By a crowd.
The poor SOB really didn’t stand a chance, he was thrown around like a rag doll:

Then there was a video (since removed by YouTube, we only have the picture now) that showed another guy handling a hostile crowd with greater confidence.

That’s right. The second guy is holding a THREAT DETERRENT.
He doesn’t NEED to shoot someone. Just send the message that he’s NOT willing to be kicked around for somebody’s sport.
Considering this was the mob that tried to stuff an unconscious photographer into a freaking BURNING GARBAGE CAN… the threat was serious enough to warrant a show of force.
Moral of the story?
The cops can’t always be there to protect you. Sometimes, you really need your OWN deterrent.
