‘Fake News’ isn’t just about ‘reporting’ on things that aren’t true, it’s also the shaping of the narrative to fit the worldview.
That’s why some things just don’t get a lot of Media (D) attention.
Like the story about a Detroit-area doctor illegally performing Female Genital Mutilation on girls between 6 and 8 years old. Because all cultures are ‘equal’ to the Left, even one with barbaric practices like this.
Neither does the massive number of deadly crimes in Chicago, the many instances of black on black crime, or black on white crime garners very little local Media (D) coverage. But if the victim is black, it’s national — or even international — news.
Here is a headline that is a prime example, and one social media user’s perfect response:
It’s true.
The Media (D) won’t cover a school shooting for all of those reasons.
And one more — it wasn’t a student that committed the crime.
We only talk about gun control when the shooter is a child because:
Talk about gun control always includes the ‘What if it gets into the hands of children?’ and the examples of school shootings by evil and/or mentally unstable teens.
This example was not a teen, so it’s ho-hum for the Media (D).
