That Awkward Moment When the President’s actions destroy the ‘Fake News’ that you’ve been force-feeding to the public for months…
The fairy tale that the Media (D) has been peddling since the summer about collusion between President Trump and Putin has fallen apart. There is no evidence, but the die-hards in the Media (D) refuse to drop it.
Maybe they’ll have to now…
There is ‘tension’ between the US and Russia over Syria.
President Trump is pressuring Putin to stop supporting Assad — and he’s not mincing words.
Donald Trump says Russian President Vladimir Putin is backing an ‘evil person’ in Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Trump told Fox Business Network he is ‘an animal. and that Assad is ‘very bad for Russia’ and ‘very bad for mankind’ – but insisted the US will not be waging a fully-fledged war in Syria.
Trump is increasing pressure on Putin to abandon Assad, just as U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is visiting Moscow…
…Washington and Moscow are trading sharp accusations about a chemical weapons attack last week in Syria.
‘We’re not going into Syria,’ Trump told Fox Business in an interview, which will air in full on Wednesday morning…
…Trump reiterated his plans in an interview with the New York Post. He said: ‘Our policy is the same, it hasn’t changed.’
He told the newspaper that Assad was a ‘butcher’ and a ‘barbarian’ for using sarin gas on his own people, but insisted the number one priority in the Middle East was still to defeat ISIS…
…’Our big mission is getting rid of ISIS,’ Trump said. ‘That’s where it’s always been. But when you see kids choking to death, you watch their lungs burning out, we had to hit him and hit him hard.’
…His comments came as Defense Secretary Mattis said in his first press briefing that the aim was to ‘destroy’ the terrorist group.
But Mattis recently pledged that the U.S.’s recent military involvement in Syria will not ‘spiral’ and lead to a war with Russia, which has backed Assad’s regime.
‘It will not spiral out of control,’ Mattis said during a press conference at the Pentagon today. ‘As you know, Secretary Tillerson is in Moscow. We maintain communications with the Russian military and with the diplomatic channels,’ the defense secretary said.
