WANTED: Congressmen of Either Party Who Put America AHEAD of Political Interest

What’s going on in Congress?

Congress: the part of the Federal government which is supposed to represent We the People, unfortunately has some problems. During the previous administration this esteemed body outsourced its job to the Executive branch, which meant that the country was being governed without representation from the people. Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution, was violated by many legislators from both parties so that their governing power was not used to assist and protect their constituents, but to satisfy their own selfish political interests.

Now we have a new President and a new administration with a goal of working for the people and an ideology of America and Americans First. The Republicans hold the majority in both the House and the Senate and should be able to deliver legislation geared to the needs of Americans. However, there are some problems. We have some Republicans in Congress who think and vote more like Democrats
(RINOS) and this prevents a cohesive Republican voice.

Then, we have the Democrats, who are acting like spoiled brats because their candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton, lost the election. So, instead of accepting the loss and working with the Republicans for the good of the country, they have chosen to spend their time demonizing President Trump and his family (including children), blocking and delaying Cabinet confirmations, and consistently trying every trick in the book (with help from the Mainstream Media) to take down the current administration.

Congress, as a whole, consists of an elitist, self-serving bunch who don’t seem to care about those who elected them. This occurs on both sides of the aisle, and over the years a group of prima donnas has emerged. They give themselves raises even though seniors haven’t had a cost of living increase in years. They enjoy a variety of perks, paid for by YOU, the taxpayer. They also pass laws from which they exempt themselves. There are a few brave and devoted souls in the House and the Senate who do not subscribe to this elitist behavior, but not too many. We desperately need term limits so that those who we send to Washington remember why they’re there and that they won’t be in Washington forever.

The current crop of Democrats in Congress have been so brainwashed from the previous administration that they are no longer like the Democrats of yesteryear, who worked with Republicans to solve the nation’s problems. The bunch that’s there now has developed a globalist, Marxist agenda and are slaves to political correctness. With the liberal Democrats. difference of opinion is not tolerated and the needs and welfare of illegals and Middle Eastern “refugees” are more important than those of American citizens. This is disgraceful. However, the constituents of these Democrats are also brainwashed and repeat all the ludicrous, untrue, talking points of the left. At this time the chances of bipartisan cooperation are remote, so the Republicans are going to have to pull together to pass legislation that’s needed and do what’s right for the American people.

To the Republican legislators…I suggest that you grow a backbone, stop demonizing members of your own party, stop trying to make nice with Democrats, and exercise your free speech. If you can’t do these things, resign from Congress, because we sent you there to work for us…nobody else.

Last words: It would be nice if Congress was composed of not-Democrats, not-Republicans, just Americans who care about other Americans.
