BREAKING: Congress REVISITS Obama’s Gun Running SCANDAL aka ‘Fast & Furious’

Will the ‘news’ networks be as excited to cover THIS story as they are about Comey?

Or are they going to close ranks and protect ‘Their’ president?

Thought Fast and Furious was just a memory in the rearview mirror? What difference, at this point, does it make?

Guess again, Liberals.

You wanted the government to dig deep and investigate scandals? (That would be the very same networks that spent the last 8 years NOT wanting to look into anything that might implicate the Obamessiah.) Congrats, you have your wish. It just boomeranged!

Will some highly-placed Democrats be in for some sleepless nights hoping this doesn’t lead to FURTHER investigations about roles played by individual people?

…the House Oversight Committee will hold a hearing to revisit the Obama-era gun running scandal known as “Operation Fast and Furious.” According to the committee, the goal is “to identify what the new officials at the Department of Justice can learn from the mistakes made by their predecessors in responding to Congress’s inquiry” and “to understand the effect of the Justice Department’s obstruction on these witnesses.”

Former federal agent Jay Dobyns joined Mike Broomhead on Tuesday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program” to talk about his incredible experiences being under threat and abandoned by the government when he spoke up.

…He described how his family was threatened with murder, rape and torture while Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives officials looked the other way. When his house in Arizona was destroyed by an arsonist in 2008, Dobyns himself was investigated as a suspect. The former agent detailed the connection between President Barack Obama’s “Operation Fast and Furious” scandal and his terrifying experience being threatened after he infiltrated Hells Angels. — Read More

We all remember why Eric Holder resigned in the first place, don’t we?

Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. announced Thursday he is resigning as soon as a replacement is found, though he and the Justice Department still face contempt of Congress charges that will linger well after he officially gives up the office.
Analysts said Mr. Holder — the first sitting Cabinet official ever to face a contempt citation from Congress — will likely duck any legal punishment, though his department will soon be forced to begin turning over the documents he withheld, which sparked the initial fight. It’s just the latest in a series of stormy disputes that have defined his turbulent six-year tenure.
From declining to defend the Defense of Marriage Act to backing President Obama in a losing constitutional battle over presidential recess appointments and fighting — unsuccessfully, so far — to close the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Mr. Holder has been the spearhead for most of Mr. Obama’s major legal decisions. –Read more

But in case any of you were relying on TV for your news back then and may have missed it…

Here’s one quick explanation why Fast and Furious was a big deal.

And here is the Fox News explanation of why this is suddenly back in the news.

The House Oversight Committee released a scathing report Wednesday that accuses former Attorney General Eric Holder and his Department of Justice of covering up Operation Fast and Furious and misleading Congress’ investigation into the botched gun-running operation.

The nearly 300-page report states that the Justice Department under Holder actively tried to hide the facts from the loved ones of slain Border Patrol Brian Terry – seeing his family as more of a “nuisance” than one deserving straight answers — and at times being openly hostile to them.

…Terry’s death exposed Operation Fast and Furious, which was a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) operation in which the federal government allowed criminals to buy guns in Phoenix-area shops with the intention of tracking them once they made their way into Mexico. But the agency lost track of more than 1,400 of the 2,000 guns they allowed smugglers to buy. Two of those guns were found at the scene of Terry’s killing.

“More than five years after Brian’s murder, the Terry family still wonders about key details of Operation Fast and Furious,” the report states. “The Justice Department’s obstruction of Congress’s investigation contributed to the Terry family’s inability to find answers.”

…The report also says that Holder’s Justice Department stonewalled inquiries from Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and deceptively told him that the “ATF makes every effort to interdict” firearms purchased by straw buyers. The controversial act of straw purchases – where a person who is prohibited from buying firearms uses another person to buy a gun on his or her behalf – has been a popular method that Mexico’s drug cartels use to obtain guns

And what was it Obama told us all?

Called his administration ‘scandal-free’, was it?
