Swamp Draining: Look Who Decides To ‘Retire’ After Trump Publicly Spanks Them

These two have been an impediment to the Make America Great Again agenda.  Don’t let the door hit you on your way out!

Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ) are going to ‘retire’.

It has nothing to do with their tanking approval ratings — with Flake at around 18 percent and Corker at around 20 percent.

Nosiree.  It’s about ‘principles’.

It’s because of President Trump’s ‘undignified behavior’.

Nevermind that Flake has been all over the place criticizing the President at every turn. And now they’re ramping it up even more.

Check out the Media (D)’s take on it:

Senator Jeff Flake, the Arizona Republican who has tangled with President Trump for months, announced on Tuesday that he would not seek re-election in 2018, declaring on the Senate floor that he “will no longer be complicit or silent” in the face of the president’s “reckless, outrageous and undignified” behavior.

Mr. Flake made his announcement in an extraordinary 17-minute speech in which he challenged not only the president but also his party’s leadership. He deplored the “casual undermining of our democratic ideals” and “the personal attacks, the threats against principles, freedoms and institutions, the flagrant disregard for truth and decency” that he said had become prevalent in American politics in the era of Mr. Trump.

Looks like it’s time for a President Trump Truth Bomb!

True!

Also true!

Poll: Flake’s approval rating in Arizona at 18 percent

Oh, let’s not leave liddle Bob Corker out of this tweetstorm — the President didn’t!

Heh.

…privately, some Republicans were growing angry at the displays of disunity from Senators Flake and Corker as the party was trying to come together to pass a major overhaul of the tax code. Only minutes before Mr. Flake’s address, the president had been in the Capitol for lunch with Senate Republicans and a discussion about tax reform.

Gee, you think that Republicans are frustrated that the platform that they voted for isn’t being passed?

President Trump says that these Senators are the outliers:

Some people have a real problem with President Trump’s style.

They don’t like the tweets. He’s bombastic.  He’s loud.  He doesn’t take crap from anyone.

I write for ClashDaily — that’s totally up my alley.

Maybe that’s not for everyone.

But it’s certainly working for the President, and I gotta say, I’m lovin’ it!

But we didn’t elect GOP politicians to be ‘besties’ with the President — we elected them to put America First instead of last.  We elected them to follow through on their campaign promises that are consistent with a conservative worldview and Make America Great Again.

I’m old enough to remember when Republicans used to believe certain things and hold to a party platform.  They used to work together towards a mutually agreed-upon goal.  These are the real principles.

Calling out the President constantly for everything the way Flake and Corker have isn’t helpful.  The party is divided, and it’s guys like this that are using their criticisms as a crowbar to push the sides farther apart.

Look, we want lower taxes, ObamaCare nixed, a strong economy, and support for our military.  It would also be nice if Freedom of Speech and the 2nd Amendment were championed instead of censorship and disarming citizens.

Do you think maybe the rest of you GOP Swampthings could put aside your differences and do that?

Because that would be one helluva change from what we have now.

And just think — if the President wins on his agenda, America wins.

With the news of Corker and Flake leaving, it seems a perfect time to wear this shirt:

Even Mark Twain wanted to drain the swamp!

“Politicians are like diapers; they need to be changed often and for the same reason” – Mark Twain.

And the best part? This shirt is made in the USA, printed in the USA, on an American-Made t-shirt press!

Show your elected officials all the ‘love’ they deserve. Get yours now!

Does your grandpa go off on paltry politicians, whether they be Democrats or Republicans? Does he get misty eyed when he talks about God and Country and America’s future? And have you ever heard him scream, ‘Awww … Hell no!’ when Rosie O’Donnell starts yapping on television? If you answered yes to one, or all of the above, then your gramps will love Doug Giles’ latest book, My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass.

Don’t be fooled by the title — this ain’t just for Grandpa.
The Snowflake Generation — and the rest of America — needs a good ol’ dose of ‘Grandpa wisdom’.
Especially if that Grandpa is Doug Giles.
You’ll love My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass just as much as Grandpa will.

Share if you think that Senators Corker and Flake leaving is a GREAT thing for the GOP
