Let’s ask the guy who served as CIA director at the time about those 2009 protests.
That’s back when Obama was busy ‘leading from behind’.
(Assuming it was him, and not Jarrett, who was calling the shots at the time.)
Tapper lined up an Obama-era official for comment on the latest developments in Iran.
Tapper asked Panetta, as the CIA director at the time, to comment on Obama’s stance, in retrospect:
Tapper: Let me ask you about the last time there were mass protests in Iran, in 2009, when you were in the Obama administration. Do you think the Obama administration dropped the ball by not more aggressively standing with the protesters, whether on its own or in congress with our European allies and others?
Panetta: Well, I remember that — that movement. It was a much larger protest than what we’re having today. It was based on the Green Party and what happened in the election then. I do think that was an appropriate time for the United States to have sent a clearer message that we stand by those who try to represent the rights of people. That’s what the United States is all about. And it would have been important to have sent that message at the time.
Obama’s Secretary of Defense at the time, Robert Gates, has also said that the Obama administration should have sided with the protesters in 2009.
An Obama official just went rogue.
Maybe he didn’t get the memo that when Obama was elected, the oceans stopped rising, and the earth began to heal.
Panetta spoke of him like he was a fallible mortal.
Will the media ever forgive him for it?
But now that you think about it, this makes total sense.
Obama props up and befriends an authoritarian regime in Iran, to the detriment of the oppressed citizens crying for freedom…
Obama weaponizes the IRS against groups with ‘Tea Party’ or ‘Patriot’ in their name… who wanted a government more accountable to the will of its citizens…
Obama actively tried to interfere with elections in the one truly free and Democratic nation in the Middle East (Israel) and advance his own will over that of the will of Jewish Citizens.
Why does Obama consistently side on the wrong side of Freedom issues?
Because, Fundamentally, he’s an autocrat who doesn’t believe in Freedom — at least, not a definition of Freedom recognizable to you or me.
Does your grandpa go off on paltry politicians, whether they be Democrats or Republicans? Does he get misty eyed when he talks about God and Country and America’s future? And have you ever heard him scream, ‘Awww … Hell no!’ when Rosie O’Donnell starts yapping on television? If you answered yes to one, or all of the above, then your gramps will love Doug Giles’ latest book, My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass.
Don’t be fooled by the title — this ain’t just for Grandpa.
The Snowflake Generation — and the rest of America — needs a good ol’ dose of ‘Grandpa wisdom’.
Especially if that Grandpa is Doug Giles.
You’ll love My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass just as much as Grandpa will.
Ladies, tell everyone that you don’t like the emasculated, metro-sexual ‘feminists’ — you’d rather have a President with balls:
And gents, let everyone know that you want your President to be just as much of a man as you are:
Donald J. Trump is our 45th President. Why? Because Americans from all races and classes are sick of whining Republicans and corrupt Democrats. Finally, we have a President who isn’t afraid to say what he thinks even if it is not popular with the press. Trump is not a typical politician. Trump can’t be bought. He will back up what he says with action, no matter the cost. Finally. A president with balls!
