When President Donald J. Trump made the statement that the unemployment rate for African Americans was the lowest in recorded history, there was a loud cheer and thunderous applause.

Awwww! Did someone go and fix a problem that you’ve been demanding special treatment to address for decades? And did he do it through his economic policy in just one year?

President Trump looks right at them and gives them a nod as they sit passively and refuse to react.

But hey, at least they all got snazzy scarves and ties to protest the President’s alleged comments about ‘sh*thole countries’ and to ‘stare down racism’. I’m not sure about the staring down racism part but the bright color just seems to highlight the despair and anger.
Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-La.) said Tuesday at a news conference that Trump has made the country “less safe for people of color,” according to CNN.
“The President has taken every opportunity to divide this country along racial lines,” Richmond said. “Words matter. President Trump’s racist rhetoric makes the county less safe for people of color by encouraging and emboldening and pandering to those who wish to do harm to others based on the color of their skin.”
Richmond said that many CBC members are boycotting the speech and that he has heard a “rumor” that some may walk out of the speech, but that he does not know of any who have said they would walk out.

As a ‘woman of color’, this ClashDaily Editor has no idea what planet these people are on. I don’t get the cries of ‘racism’ against the President. Give me one concrete example.
Frankly, the constant equating of all non-left ideology as that of the ‘alt-right’/’neo-Nazi’/’fascist’, etc. is rather dangerous. That’s how you create racists in the minds of people that are disengaged from political discourse. You know, we call those people ‘most Americans’.
You have to remember who the Congressional Black Caucus is. This is a group that is literally made up of only African American Democrats. Black Republicans need not apply. The same people that forced a photographer to bury a photo of then-Senator Barack Obama posing with the blatant racist, Louis Farrakhan. Speaking of staring down racism, why was the Congressional Black Caucus hanging out with Farrakhan anyway? He’s called for the murder of whites and is a vile anti-Semite.

The Congressional Black Caucus wants to divide people into little identity groups based on immutable characteristics rather than unite Americans under one set of ideals — E Pluribus Unum. But then, how can you stand for ideas when you’ve carved out a caucus within Congress based on race?
The good news is that the Democrat strategy isn’t working. The unity speech that the President gave seems to be resonating with all Americans. Perhaps they’re tired of being put in identity boxes and want to be treated as individuals. Americans want E Pluribus Unum, and with Republicans, that’s exactly what they’re getting.
