Everyone is talking about Oprah running for President in 2020. It was a joke that began the speculation, but if she does run, things could get awkward fast.
Oprah, just like so many actors and actresses wore black to the Golden Globes to highlight their support for the #MeToo movement and signal a new movement — #TimesUp. To the Hollywood folks, ‘Time’s Up’ for sexual harassment.

Time wasn’t up when Seth MacFarlane made a ‘joke’ about Weinstein in 2013 when announcing Academy Award nominees for the Best Supporting Actress:

Time wasn’t up in 1998 when President Bill Clinton was found to have had an extra-marital affair with his 20-year old intern, was accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct, including the rape of Juanita Broaddrick.
Nope, time wasn’t up then.
But now, Time Is Up.
Oprah Winfrey chose to use the platform when she was accepting the Cecil B. Demille Award to speak about sexual harassment of women:

But did you notice something weird about it?
MeTooism is not a Hollywood problem, even though nearly everyone involved is a part of Hollywood or the media, it’s a problem with men in general, especially “white men” who are holding women and minorities down.
That’s the message from Oprah’s speech during Sunday’s Golden Globes.
Before a crowd of Hollywood actresses and actors who covered-up Harvey Weinstein’s “open secret” for over three decades — many of whom no doubt built their careers off of sleeping with Weinstein — she gave a speech indirectly attacking President Trump and calling for a world where nobody “ever has to say ‘Me Too’ again.”

Isn’t she more powerful than most of these ‘white men’ that she’s accusing of abusing their ‘privilege’?
Why would she not blame Hollywood? The ‘casting couch’ culture of Hollywood has been a known thing since its inception.
But Oprah is entrenched there.

There are also the allegations of Harvey’s 86th accuser, Kadian Noble. In her lawsuit, Noble says that because Weinstein was seemingly close to Oprah, she was impressed with his connections. Oprah’s presence gave legitimacy to Weinstein, so she let her guard down.
An aspiring actress says Harvey Weinstein used Oprah Winfrey and Naomi Campbell to dupe her into thinking he would help her with her career — only to use her for sex.
British actress Kadian Noble said Tuesday she was head-over-heels impressed when she first met Weinstein at an event in London because he was hanging out with model Campbell and had megastar Oprah “swinging off his arm.”
She is suing Weinstein and his brother for sex trafficking.
In her lawsuit, she accuses The Weinstein Company of violating federal sex trafficking laws by “benefiting from, and knowingly facilitating, the venture in which Harvey Weinstein traveled in foreign commerce to recruit or entice female actors into forced or coerced sexual encounters on the promise of roles.”
According to Noble’s lawsuit, it was “common practice” of Weinstein and “well-known” to his brother Bob Weinstein that Harvey Weinstein would travel abroad and to different states to recruit, solicit and entice young female actresses with promises of film roles only to then use force, fraud or coercion to engage them in sex. She is seeking damages under U.S. sex trafficking laws.

You’d think that a woman that had endured sexual abuse and rape would be more sensitive about endangering other women.
At 6, Winfrey left her grandmother to live with her mother. While there, the woman in charge of keeping the house forced Winfrey to sleep on the porch. At 9, she was raped.
“He took me to an ice cream shop — blood still running down my leg — and bought me ice cream.”
Winfrey was sexually abused from the ages of 10 to 14, when she found out she was pregnant.

Two weeks after Winfrey’s baby was born, it died. She was living with her father at the time, and they both saw this as a ‘second chance’ for Oprah. Apparently, it was. She’s certainly been quite the success story, beloved by millions.
But she still turned a blind eye to Harvey’s disgusting behavior.

So much for truth in Hollywood. But then, Oprah didn’t say ‘THE truth’ instead she spoke of ‘YOUR truth’.

It seems that Oprah’s ‘truth’ includes not calling out serial sexual abusers on their predatory behavior, and calling out ‘white men’ — except her buddy Weinstein — as the problem.
There’s one thing that increasingly unites men and women these days. We can both agree that Liberals are losing their ever-loving minds. Now there’s a shirt that says just that.

They attack hunters, but have no problem wearing leather shoes or owning cars with leather upholstery! And of course, they believe guns kill people. Not the people that pull the trigger.
