Watch: LeBron Hates Assault Weapons – Except When He’s Shooting Them

LeBron is weighing in on politics — again. Perhaps he doesn’t recall his 29th birthday…

This isn’t the first time that he has ‘used his platform’ to speak out about political issues.

LeBron is staunchly in the ‘Not My President’ category and has said so. He’s currently in a very vocal spat with Fox News host, Laura Ingraham. He’s called Ingraham racist for her ‘shut up and dribble’ advice.

Although James has every right to speak about what he thinks (and it’s often hilarious when he does,) just because he’s an NBA star it doesn’t mean we’re looking to him for political guidance.

When LeBron played for the Heat, his wife got then four-time MVP and two-time NBA champion a pretty sweet birthday present — a chance to fire off some military-grade weapons at a specialized gun range in Miami.

Sounds like fun, actually.

James has been vocal about his love for military video games, and the chance to shoot the weapons in real life under supervision sounds pretty cool.

The couple went to Lock & Load Miami Machine Gun Experience & Range in 2014. The General Manager, Mike Pryor, spoke about it to ESPN.

“They made a reservation, they showed up and they had a good time just like anyone else,” Pryor said Monday…

…Pryor confirmed the guns both James and his wife tested were an H&K MP5 and an M249, which are both used in military combat. The couple received brief training from the range’s staff that includes former military personnel and retired police officers, Pryor said…

…“He had a chance to work with some of our specialists,” Pryor said. “We’ll talk with them about different firearm options and go over safety measures. He was into it and had a great time. It was good for him and it was good fun for us. We also have a great deal of respect for him and his privacy. He didn’t come here for a media event. They both came here to have a good time.”

That’s just awesome.

What an experience!

FYI: Lock & Load Miami is less than an hour’s drive south of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL.

Of course, just like all of us here in America and the rest of the world, Lebron is horrified by the events of Feb. 14, 2018, in Parkland, Florida.

LeBron and his wife had a good time at the range, but despite that, the ever-political James is advocating for gun control.

LeBron is concerned that people who ‘can’t buy a beer can buy an AR-15’.

James, who played four seasons with the Miami Heat, was mostly concerned with how 19-year-old accused shooter Nikolas Cruz was able to purchase a firearm that was used to kill 17 students and teachers and injure 16 more.

“We have a kid who wasn’t legally [able] to buy a beer at a bar, but he can go buy an AR-15? It doesn’t make sense,” James said. “I’m not saying it should be legal for him to go buy beer. But how is it possible that we can have minors go buy a gun? I don’t have the answer to it. But to the families in Parkland, down in Broward County, it’s sad and I’m sorry and it’s just a tragedy and I hope we don’t continue to see this because it’s too many in the last 10 years with guns.”

The failure here is obviously with the FBI. They failed to act and that made it possible for Cruz to pass background checks and legally purchase weapons. There were multiple calls to the police department over several years. Yet Cruz was still able to pass the background checks. It raises concerns about the system failing. Especially when you consider that the Vegas shooter was also able to purchase his arsenal without the FBI so much as batting an eye.

Look, I understand the outrage and the sense of injustice that is felt here.

But frankly, (and I believe I’m not in the minority opinion here,) but the way to prevent some of this sh-t from happening is to educate children about guns. Let them learn how to responsibly handle a gun. Teach them that holding a real gun isn’t like a video game. There are real consequences.

Don’t make guns be ‘forbidden fruit’ — that just makes them desirable to those that are uneducated in the handling and responsibility required in handling them. And that is dangerous.

Maybe LeBron could consider that before shooting his mouth off the way he did that machine gun.

But perhaps I’m asking for too much.

We’ve all wondered for a long time, but it looks like medical science has finally determined the problem.

It’s spreading like a plague. For some reason, Liberals are losing their ever-loving minds.

Trump Derangement — and Romney Derangement before that — and Bush Derangement before that are only the tip of the iceberg.

What is driving them so berzerk?

Looks like we’ve found an answer:

A liberal walks into the hospital and asks for an X-ray of its skull. Doctors confirmed what we already feared. Here’s the sad diagnosis…

That’s the ladies’ version. You can get it here.

Don’t worry. There’s one for the guys, too.

You can get the guy’s version here.

And the best part? This shirt is made in the USA, printed in the USA, on an American-Made t-shirt press!
