A short time ago, there was a piece about something that should make every American’s blood boil…or nearly so. Of course, if you’re a lefty loony, this probably fits right in with your agenda. What I’m talking about is former President Barack Obama’s old professor and lifelong mentor. That would be Laurence Tribe, who taught Obama everything he knows about constitutional law, is teaching “Constitutional Law 3.0: The Trump Trajectory” this semester at Harvard Law School. Now, in my not-so-humble opinion the student in this case didn’t seem to have learned a whole lot because people a lot smarter than I am, have said he broke a lot of laws.
“This seminar will explore what the Trump presidency might mean for American constitutional law, how we might expect the Constitution to constrain Trump’s execution of his powers and duties, and what #impeachment and removal by other means might resemble in the Trump era,” according to the course description. One might think that this sort of lop-sided indoctrination would not be allowed, but it is…and welcomed, as I understand it. Throughout Academia today there is such a left-leaning train of thought that (a) I’m surprised it doesn’t fall over, and (b) that the train isn’t derailed by some other thinking.
Neither is going to happen.
Why, you may ask, is nothing going to happen? Ahh…because Tribe has wisely limited the class size to a dozen. But he has drawn an iron curtain of silence over the rest of the seminar. No outsider is allowed to visit or listen in on the lectures and he hopes that those twelve will be indoctrinated to the point where they will go out and begin “preaching” the word. Tribe’s attention (some might call it an obsession) to the Trump administration and disrupting it as much as he can will probably have some sort of effect, but it may not be the one that he’s expecting, or wanting. My thinking is that there are still enough patriots in America that they will be able to recognize an attempt at a coup.
What does it cost to attend Harvard Law School these days? It’s been reported that the cost per year is $63,800 a year, for professors to teach them people should be convicted before they’re proven guilty! It occurs to me that Tribe is either deliberately, or conveniently, forgetting that you’re presumed innocent until proven guilty, and that the 14thAmendment says everyone is equal under the law.
Tribe’s path of indoctrination has not gone unnoticed…even by liberals. “Tribe has become one of the internet’s most unhinged cranks, churning out wild conspiracy theories and, in the process, becoming a social media star and MSNBC favorite,” wrote liberal journalist Glenn Greenwald. Whew! That took some guts to go against the rest of the liberal world.
Turning on the “Way-back Machine” I found something from July of 2016, and it fits right in with what we’ve been talking about. Anyone who was a Democrat and switched parties, as I did in 2008 when The Kenyan was nominated, probably understands that the Democrat party has changed. It’s not your grandfather’s Democrat Party anymore. In fact, it’s not even your father’s party anymore…and those good folks would probably not recognize it. They might even think it was a Socialist or, worse yet, a Communist party! It has moved further toward full-blown extremism and totalitarianism than ever before, even though they will deny that conclusion. Gee…what could they have done?
For starters, they staged and paid for protests all over the country to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. If you understand business you can quickly figure out that if you have ten employees making $7.50 an hour and you boost that figure to $15, some of those employees are going to go bye-bye, right? Then there’s the relinquishing of our sovereign rights, and ceding them to the United Nations…something that we are quickly correcting. Almost on a daily basis you can read, or see, something that, on the surface seems absolutely ridiculous…and then you notice that it’s being pushed by somebody on the left, and even though you KNOW it’s a dumb idea, they hang on to it for dear life.
In late June, anti-communist analyst Trevor Loudon, author of the book The Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists and Progressives in the US Congress, shined the spotlight on just how far the Democrats had gone, when he said, “Most of these individuals could not pass an FBI background security check to sell you stamps at the Post Office.” How far off the beaten path do you have to be to rate a statement like that? A better question might be, “How far are they going to go in their hatred?” You only have to listen to Maxine Waters who, apparently, has one only thought in her head and that’s to impeach Trump…but she hasn’t put forth any sort of a reason.
Have you heard of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA)? DSA is also an affiliate of the totalitarian global alliance of communists and socialists known as the Socialist International.
Parting shot: So extreme is the global outfit that its 24th Congress in 2012 was hosted by a Marxist political party whose president was at the time busy advocating genocide of minorities on national television. So, there it is for all the world to see…half of our country is bonkers!
