Isn’t It Ironic? Parkland HS Students Hate The New Big Government Security Measures
Spring Break has ended for the students in Parkland, Florida. The teens are outraged over the new security measures that have been implemented.
The students now have to carry clear backpacks to school. I’m with the kids thinking that this is a little ridiculous. Really, an AR-15 with a 20″ barrel would just stick right out of the top of a 16″ clear backpack. It would stick out of the top of a regular backpack for that matter.
But these students are the ones demanding ‘change’ that will make them feel ‘safe’.
How about this to make you feel safe?
Yo, Gun Grabbers: This University Allows For Campus Carry – Look At The Results!
Or some info on school shootings from New York Magazine?
There Is No ‘Epidemic of Mass School Shootings’
Well, that’s awkward when you’ve been pushing for gun control.
But it’s not just the mandatory clear backpacks, though that seems to be the focus of their outrage. Students must also wear ID badges at all times. The school board is currently debating installing metal detectors and using wands to find concealed weapons.
The students, however, feel that these measures are ‘infringing on their rights’ and make their school feel like a prison.
Many students that are pushing for a restriction or full-on repeal of the Second Amendment are outraged at the new security measures.
Look at what the Twitter-verified Parkland Blue Checkmark Brigade have to say about the school ‘doing something’ to make students feel safe:
Thousands of clear backpacks were donated to MSD…it’s a shame b/c they should’ve been given to a school that actually needs the supplies. But since we’re stuck with them, I decided to make the most out of the situation & decorate!! 👊🏼#MarchForOurLives pic.twitter.com/dgW7uNN536

I just want my brother and sister to not feel like prisoners at school. I want them to feel safe in classrooms, at concerts, at parties, at parks, in our country.
We need to care more about the children.

If our school board seriously believes that clear backpacks will be a key factor in keeping students safe then EVERY elementary, middle, and high school student should have one. School shootings can happen anywhere, so why are we only getting these backpacks? We need REAL CHANGE!

They all sound the same in their frustration with the ‘big government’ measures:
Tomorrow we will have to go through security check points and be given clear backpacks, my school is starting to feel like a prison.

One student posted several of her frustrations:
Starting off the last quarter of senior year right, with a good ol’ violation of privacy! pic.twitter.com/Glf9C14dsq

David Hogg’s sister, Lauren, couldn’t resist taking a shot at the NRA:
My new backpack is almost as transparent as the NRA’s agenda.
I feel sooo safe now.
As much as I appreciate the effort we as a country need to focus on the real issue instead of turning our schools into prisons. #clearbackpacks #MarchForOurLives pic.twitter.com/HqBIeGjzF9

You can tell that Lauren Hogg doesn’t shoot because her aim is off.
That ‘real issue’ would be the failure of:
- the school board policies to not report crimes committed by individuals that belong to certain demographics
- Marjory Stoneman Douglas High school administration for not upholding the ban on the shooter
- the School Safety Officer for nor responding to shots fired
- the Broward County Sheriff’s Office issuing a ‘stand down’ order
- the Broward County Sheriff’s Office ignoring 45+ calls to the shooter’s residence
- the FBI for not following up on two tips about the shooter
- the shooter himself
Or is it all just about gun-grabbing?

No one needs high capacity pockets and dual action zippers. Why do you need to use your backpack so fast?
You have no problem takin’ away the Constitutional rights of millions of Americans, but god forbid you have a clear backpack.

How the hell am I supposed to advocate for the destruction of the Second Amendment when my backpack is clear. Wtf guys ever hear of *liberty*

Wait, they don’t like being forced to conform to something just because someone else is a criminal? You mean, they don’t like it when people try and force feed them something when they themselves are law abiding?I do love irony. pic.twitter.com/pk7N2Ex0ZQ

Why do you *need* a non-transparent backpack? If it saves even one life isn’t that worth it? The Constitution says nothing about backpacks. When the 4th Amendment was written, the Framers didn’t envision a right to non-clear backpacks.

We’ve all wondered for a long time, but it looks like medical science has finally determined the problem.
It’s spreading like a plague. For some reason, Liberals are losing their ever-loving minds.
Trump Derangement — and Romney Derangement before that — and Bush Derangement before that are only the tip of the iceberg.
What is driving them so berzerk?
Looks like we’ve found an answer:
A liberal walks into the hospital and asks for an X-ray of its skull. Doctors confirmed what we already feared. Here’s the sad diagnosis…
