Normally, this would be a heartwarming story, but it’s Trump, so somebody will surely find a way to be outraged.
The White House was paid a visit by Alabama’s Crimson Tide. As champions, they were received at the White House with the usual heroes’ welcome.

While there, JK Scott asked the President a fairly unusual question.
During the team’s visit, WBRC News sports reporter Christina Chambers captured a video of the team taking a moment to pray for the president.
In a tweet, Chambers wrote: “What a cool moment! .@AlabamaFTBL JK Scott asked @POTUS if he could pray for him and his staff. Video below shows President Trump and Bama players praying after the Tide’s @WhiteHouse visit!”

Will the perpetually outraged be upset by prayer in the White House? Or will they be angry at Alabama for having something nice to say about the President?
Whatever they find to be upset about, that simple act of prayer has already served as an olive branch powerful enough to overcome natural rivalries.
Here’s proof.

Admittedly, it’s a small thing, but with the divisions, we’re seeing in America today, we’ll take it.
And for one day at least, we can all say ‘Roll Tide’.
Does your grandpa go off on paltry politicians, whether they be Democrats or Republicans? Does he get misty eyed when he talks about God and Country and America’s future? And have you ever heard him scream, ‘Awww … Hell no!’ when Rosie O’Donnell starts yapping on television? If you answered yes to one, or all of the above, then your gramps will love Doug Giles’ latest book, My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass.
Don’t be fooled by the title — this ain’t just for Grandpa.
The Snowflake Generation — and the rest of America — needs a good ol’ dose of ‘Grandpa wisdom’.
Especially if that Grandpa is Doug Giles.
You’ll love My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass just as much as Grandpa will.
Here’s a shirt for real men (and women, too):
Why be average? It’s so overrated.
Everyone does that.
