Have you noticed how often that ‘love trumps hate’ crowd resorts to violent confrontations? Here we go again.
There are a lot of reasonable ways a person could react to encountering someone you disagree with. Especially if you don’t actually know each other.
After all, even those of us on the Right have taken issue with Tomi’s official positions from time to time. But there are ways to do that without resorting to thuggish tactics.
None of those were up for consideration for this ‘resist’ crowd.
They could have just carried on with their lives. They might have even tried to engage her in a conversation and challenge her on her ideas.
After all, she takes a microphone into the street in areas that are hostile to her positions, so there’s a pretty good chance she’d handle that well.

Well, the news does the same thing to the Right all the time. Why should we expect their lemmings to be any different?
These are exactly the kind of over-pressured people Kanye had in mind when he said you didn’t HAVE to be Democrat if you’re black. And in the end, what did they accomplish?
They made their side look like spoiled children, and Tomi look like the good guys who’ve been wronged.
And beyond that… their stupid action just had her name tweeted from one of the world’s most followed Twitter accounts.

If they thought she was too famous before… they just made her even MORE famous. (And the ‘evil’ Fox News got a plug, too!)
That probably did not go according to plan.
Maybe it’s time to switch to decaf, people.
Relax. Take a breath. So, someone disagrees with you… it’s not the end of the world. You don’t need to take it to the Octagon or try to get facebook-famous over it.
Politics get heated, sure. But too many people are invested in their politics, they have the religious zeal of an Inquisitor, and are more than ready to punish heresy wherever it may be found.
If you haven’t figured it out yet… that’s precisely the reason people who normally voted ‘left’ are crossing the aisle to join a party that actually believes in the freedom of an individual to be whoever they damned well please.

There’s one thing that increasingly unites men and women these days. We can both agree that Liberals are losing their ever-loving minds. Now there’s a shirt that says just that.
