Did Ever-So-Credible Blasey Ford Get Caught In A Lie… About Polygraphs?

If somebody out there gives awards for Irony, this one has GOT to be a nominee.

A lot of attention was given to the fact that Ford submitted to a polygraph test. We were told that it shows the earnestness of her testimony, and how she has nothing to hide.

A couple of brain-dead public figures (looking at YOU Joy Behar) were dumb enough to call it ‘lie detector test’, and think it proved something.

Behar – an outspoken liberal and regular critic of President Trump — urged Kavanaugh to take a lie detector test to prove his innocence.
“Let’s see that from you, or are you a coward?” Behar asked before claiming Republicans are “vehemently for overturning Roe V. Wade.” — Fox.

Because ‘proving your innocence’ is how the legal system is supposed to work, eh?

Most of us thought it weird that she had already taken a polygraph when everyone else was still wrapping our heads around exactly what she was claiming about a judge who had sailed through six — SIX — previous FBI investigations.

The more we learned about that polygraph test, the weirder it got. For example, she didn’t know whether she took it before or after her Grandmother’s funeral. Weird. The emotional stress of grieving might impact a polygraph test, wouldn’t it?

Then we learned that the test she described as ‘longer’ than she expected consisted of two questions.

“I told my whole life story I felt like,” she said.

According to the report, there were only two such questions and both related directly to her statement on the alleged assault.
The interviewer asked Ford whether “any part” of her statement was false or whether she made up any detail included in her initial report.
She answered “no” to both questions. WJ

Let’s say that again. The polygraph consisted of TWO QUESTIONS.

You scratching your head over that life story thing? Yeah, so are we.

That raised some eyebrows and generated some buzz. But that wasn’t (technically) catastrophic to her testimony.

But…

If the claims her ex-boyfriend made check out as true, that’s a whole other story.

Let’s set this up properly.

First, here is the testimony that she gave about her personal knowledge of Polygraph tests:

Look back at the 3:10 mark in the video above, where she specifically addressed questions about previous polygraph use.

“Have you ever had discussions with anyone, besides your attorneys, on how to take a polygraph?

Never.

She clarified: “I don’t just mean countermeasures, but any sort of tips, or anything like that?

“No. I was scared of the test itself, but was comfortable that I could tell the information…”

There’s not a lot of wiggle room there. She’s a complete novice to the use of polygraph tests.

Unless she isn’t.

Here is the claim given by her ex. If what her ex is saying checks out as being true — and we can’t help but notice that those WERE some curiously specific questions she was asking — that’s going to cause one hell of a problem for Ford.

That walks us right into perjury territory.

Notice the details he includes in this testimony compared to the uncanny LACK of details we’re seeing in her testimony.

And it’s not the only part of her story falling apart, either.

But as Senator Blumenthal so helpfully reminded us, there’s a Latin term that’s used when speaking about the reliability of witnesses:

Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus is a Latin phrase meaning “false in one thing, false in everything.” At common law, it is the legal principle that a witness who testifies falsely about one matter is not credible to testify about any matter.

Considering that is THE Latin phrase Senator Blumenthal (no really, BLUMENTHAL) threw out at Kavanaugh while trying to play ‘gotcha’ with the judge, wouldn’t it be ironic if a lie about a lie detector was the critical false statement that unwinds the so-called ‘credible accusations’ the left lined up against Judge Kavanaugh?

Irony awards. If there were one, this would be our nominee.
