Why was THIS detail not covered in reporting of the Republican baseball practice shot up by a disgruntled Bernie Bro?
The Republican whip nearly died from an assassination attempt and yet the Media(D) lost interest and moved on from the story practically before the dead would-be assassin’s next of kin could be notified, just like they quickly lost interest in the Ricin sent to the White House, Pentagon and (in a hoax attack) to Ted Cruz or the switchblade attack against Conservative candidate Rudy Peters.
This from the same media(D) that delights in having Avenatti as a semi-permanent fixture on their shows. Any story that hammers the Right is a story they will milk for all it’s worth.
It was acknowledged the baseball practice attack was politically motivated. The would-be assassin was connected to the Bernie campaign. He was solidly on the left. He was working from a list. His targets were explicitly and deliberately Republican.
That much was already known and reported on, for about seven seconds before the Media(D) moved on to topics that aligned more fully with their news priorities.
Here’s what they left out:

That puts a new spin on the end-of-the-world rhetoric Dems whipped up about the human costs of eliminating health care, doesn’t it?

In early December, the DailyKos brashly claimed that Republican plans to repeal Obamacare will lead to an “annual death sentence” of anywhere from 21,000 to 65,000 people.
Three weeks later, New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof asserted that on the eve of Obamacare, “lack of health insurance was killing one American every 24 minutes.”
Kristof further calculated that GOP plans to repeal Obamacare “would be an additional 8,400 Americans dying annually.”
And now, another three weeks later, we have two Harvard professors–who, not uncoincidently, are diehard single payer advocates–lamenting that “repealing the Affordable Care Act will kill more than 43,000 people annually” [1] To his credit, Washington Post’s Fact-Checker, Glenn Kessler, has awarded Four Pinocchios to Senator Bernie Sanders’ claim that “36,000 will die yearly” if Obamacare is repealed, so I will not pile on here regarding that particular estimate.
The attacker himself bears sole responsibility for his actions in the shooting — obviously.
But there will always be crackpots out there who will take hyperbolic political end-of-the-world statements at face value. It’s beyond reckless for Democrats to use this inflated language in their seeking of political power — especially when they knew they were lying from the start.
