KARMA: A Big Liberal Site That Was Giddy When Alex Jones Got Banned Just Got BANNED!

Even Helen Keller could have seen this coming. But these guys didn’t because they were blinded by partisan gloating.

We at ClashDaily called it right from the beginning. So did many other observers on the Right.

Alex Jones was just a trial balloon for what was coming. In the grand scheme, he was small potatoes. Silicon Valley bigwigs wanted to silence entire segments of the political spectrum.

We, on the other hand, are solidly pro-free speech, left right and otherwise. Because we understand selective censorship causes more problems than it solves.

We don’t have any special love for Jones or Infowars — sometimes they’d get a story right, sometimes they’d completely embarrass themselves — we saw the coordinated work of several platforms to ‘non-person’ him and cut him off from his audience.

(Exactly the sort of coordination Soros-funded Media Matters had previously outlined in their ‘War Plan‘)

But we do appreciate the delicious irony of that same Infowars reporting the fact that some of the Leftosphere bloggers that were popping corks when Infowars was deplatformed also felt the blunt end of censorship’s pool cue in the Great Purge of October 11.

Not only was ‘Reverb Press’ cheering the demise of Infowars, they actively pressured Twitter to join the other Tech Giants in the coordinated censorship.

They saw it as a good thing. After all, it’s just some “crazy nutjob”, he has no right to have an opinion expressed publicly… or something.

Until this happened: “Leftist Site Which Cheered The Banning Of Alex Jones Just Got Banned Too”

The left-wing propaganda mill Reverb Press cheered when Alex Jones got deplatformed and banned from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Apple and Spotify in a concerted, Orwellian purge.

They wrote at least three articles cheering the act of censorship and called for even more.

And then Infowars had the last laugh:

Last week, they got banned themselves in Facebook and Twitter’s latest alt-media purge.

Their world affairs editor from 2014-2017, Marc Belisle, wrote an article in Buzzfeed on Wednesday titled, “Everything I Wrote Was True And Accurate. So Why Did Facebook Purge My Work?”

Belisle said, “Facebook’s characterization of the kind of work we did — and our motives for doing it — is wrong, and those who support a free press in America should be very worried about how the company disappeared our page.”
[…] Reverb Press’s last post was on October 11th, the day of the banning, so it appears the site has been shut down.

Isn’t it a little late in the game to decide you actually value free speech?

Because ‘Reverb Press’ never learned the lesson of Maurice Ogden’s classic poem ‘The Hangman’, they had to learn hard way.

When you refuse to stand up and defend someone you disagree with, they won’t be around to stand up for you, when YOU are in the crosshairs.

If it was ‘Only’ people on the right that were swept up in the purge, they would be cheering and back-slapping about a great moral victory.

Now they’re indignant.

Boo-frickety-hoo, ‘Reverb Press’. It’s time to grow a pair.

Grab a mirror, look yourself in the eye, and admit a hard truth: YOU fed this beast, and it devoured you.
