AMERICA FIRST: Palestinians Pout After Trump CUTS $350M In Funds For Their ‘Refugee Agency’

Gee, maybe Hamas shouldn’t waste their money on mortars, rockets, and paying ‘martyrs’ to get themselves shot by the IDF.

Trump had the good sense to do what the UN has refused to do. And because he has, the UN is calling to the world to ante up to help… the Palestinians??

He not only IDENTIFIED Hamas as a Terrorist group… but he also treated them like a terrorist group.

Now that Obama’s no longer in office, we’re back to treating terrorists like terrorists. That includes Hamas.

When Nikki Haley stood up in front of the UN for a vote to treat Hamas as a terrorist group, it was blocked by China and Russia. Here’s part of the statement:

Let’s talk about some of the activities of Hamas, an entity designated by the United States, the European Union, and others as a terrorist organization. Hamas’ charter openly calls for the destruction of Israel. Its statements continually repeat that goal.

…Since then, they moved toward firing rockets indiscriminately into Israel from Gaza. They have launched thousands of them in the last five years, including more than 400 in a two-day period just last month. Neighborhoods were targeted. A bus was hit by an anti-tank missile.

…And yet, throughout all of this, the United Nations has never once passed a resolution condemning Hamas. Never. Over 700* resolutions condemning Israel and not one single resolution condemning Hamas. That, more than anything else, is a condemnation of the United Nations itself.

Here’s their hue and cry:

The United Nations and Palestinian Authority on Monday called on the world to send $350 million in 2019 to cover the hundreds millions of dollars in funding slashed by the United States.
Officials cautioned that the government in Ramallah needed to be more “realistic” about what can be expected, UPI reports.

“Humanitarian actors are faced with record-low funding levels of this year, at the same time we face massive and increasing needs,” said Jamie McGoldrick, U.N. humanitarian coordinator for the Gaza Strip, West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Here’s why we need to take that with more than a just grain of salt:

Operating under the auspices of the United Nations, UNRWA has become a rogue agency. It fails to uphold basic UN principles, refuses oversight and due diligence over its spending, and continues its close and overlapping relationship with the Islamist terror group Hamas.

UNRWA has a well-documented and sordid history of supporting terrorism.

Since at least the early 2000s, UNRWA has used its operations as a cover for Palestinian militants, using UN ambulances to smuggle weapons to fighters and hosting terrorist meetings in UN buildings.

After a UN ambulance driver was caught carrying weapons and admitted to working for Hamas, UNRWA promised to change.

In 2014, however, UNRWA was once again caught aiding and facilitating Hamas terrorism. International journalists filmed Hamas terrorists launching rockets beside UN buildings and storing weapons in UNRWA buildings in Gaza.

If there was any further doubt as to why funding should be cut, how about their Cash-For-Terrorism policy?

DANIEL ESTRIN, BYLINE: Palestinian officials pay stipends to the families of suicide bombers and those killed and wounded in confrontations with Israelis. Officials also pay Palestinians in Israeli prisons convicted for violence. The longer the prison sentence, the higher the pay. Stipends can reach around $3,000 a month and more if they left behind a spouse and children. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had this message for the Palestinians during a recent speech to the pro-Israel group AIPAC in Washington.

If they’ve got money to throw around rewarding people who murder Jewish citizens, they really don’t need the world’s help for anything else.
