BREAKING: Trump Gets His $5B To Build The Wall

You remember this win is exactly what Pelosi said we didn’t have the votes to do so. What ELSE is she wrong about?

It’s an apology this writer is happy to offer: Paul Ryan — I underestimated you.

Illegal immigration is a problem that’s been kicked down the road again and again for decades. And it’s been a political ‘third rail’ that nobody’s been willing to take on. Until now.

Pelosi and Schumer had that meeting with Trump where (to their horror) the cameras kept rolling. Trump made it clear that he would sign no budget that left the border situation unresolved. They assured us that would never happen.

Trump ignored Nancy because he knew he had the votes there, despite Pelosi claiming otherwise, and spoke directly to Chuck “U” Schumer where 10 votes are the difference between border security going forward, or the government being shut down.

Schumer is trying to make ‘Trump Temper Tantrum’ stick. He likes alliteration, does he? In that case, how does he feel about Second Schumer Shutdown? (Try hashtagging THAT and then watch how the weasel squirms!)

The Senate passed a budget bill that did NOT address the wall, and things looked bad. And then Congress stepped up and put the responsibility for whether any bill passes or not squarely on the shoulders of Chuch Schumer’s minority.

With Washington a little more than 24 hours away from a partial government shutdown, the House of Representatives on Thursday passed a spending bill that includes an additional $5 billion for President Donald Trump’s long-promised border wall. The vote was 217-185.

The $5 billion is in line with what the President has requested of Congress, but passage of the measure significantly raises the chances that the government will at least partially shut down at the end of the week.
That’s because the bill next heads to the Senate, where it is expected to be dead on arrival due to opposition over the border wall money.
Democrats have already made clear they will not support $5 billion for the wall, and any spending measure would need bipartisan support to pass in the Senate.

Here’s why the issue is coming to a head right now:

The president had already added a sense of uncertainty to the prospects for the bill when he tweeted Thursday morning, “When I begrudgingly signed the Omnibus Bill, I was promised the Wall and Border Security by leadership. Would be done by end of year (NOW). It didn’t happen! We foolishly fight for Border Security for other countries – but not for our beloved U.S.A. Not good!”

Meanwhile, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said that Republicans are in “disarray” right now. Pelosi on Thursday also said that additional wall funding would be a “non-starter.”

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer reiterated Thursday that Democrats would not be willing to support $5 billion in wall funding.

We’re waiting to see whether ‘Cocaine Mitch’ works some magic, whether Chuck “U” Schumer blinks, or whether we get to start pasting him with that SecondSchumerShutdown hashtag.

We may be at the break, but things are just heating up.

If the government gets shut down, even NeverTrump Corker may get shamed into going back to DC and showing up for work.
