When Wolf spouted the tired Democrat talking points Miller ran circles around him.
He didn’t know what hit him.
The talk, not surprisingly, was about the border. When Stephen Miller accused the Democrats of being weak on border security, (“All the Democrats have to do is support border security and the border will be funded.’) their lapdog dutifully defended them.
Wolf Blitzer rushed to their defense, claiming that they DO care about border security, but not the money for a wall.
But Miller didn’t let him get away with mindlessly regurgitating talking points. He called for evidence to back up that claim.
CNN's Wolf Blitzer claims "Democrats support border security"
Stephen Miller: "They voted against Kate’s law, they voted against ending sanctuary cities, they voted against deporting MS-13 gang members [and] violent criminals, they voted…against a physical border wall" pic.twitter.com/vRcAVuUAv4

And before he could answer, he hit Blitzer with some uncomfortable facts.
Could you identify for me some of the kinds of border security they support?
(Blitzer hedges, and repeats his point.)
With all due respect, they’ve voted against Kate’s Law, they’ve voted against ending Sanctuary Cities, they’ve voted against deporting MS-13 gang members, they’ve voted against deporting violent criminals, they’ve voted time and time again against a physical border wall to stop illegal entry, where is the evidence that you keep asserting that they are for border security. They haven’t been. They opposed closing loopholes for asylum that flood our system with meritless claims, they opposed ending Catch and Release…
(And here comes Blitzer’s Oh S#!T moment.)
“I want to move on to another sensitive issue.”
Yes, that’s him admitting he’s got nothing to say in response.
As if to underscore the point about this wall being about security we see the following;
Border agents arrested a known MS-13 gang member and a convicted sex offender at the U.S.-Mexico border this week.
The first incident involved a 46-year-old Mexican national who entered illegally Wednesday evening. According to a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) press release, Ajo Station agents discovered during processing that the man was convicted in Arizona in 2002 of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Scalese put out a series of tweets on why border security matters. Here’s part of it:
Here’s the reality: Walls work. Illegal traffic has dropped over 95% in Yuma over 9 years since a wall was built there in 2005, over 90% over 15 years in Tucson where a wall exists, and over 92% in the area of San Diego with a wall over the last 23 years.

This is why we need the wall: Nearly 17,000 criminals were apprehended at the border last year, many smuggling deadly drugs. ICE saved over 900 children from human trafficking last year.

Think this is a new battle? Guess again.
They take what THEY want, in bad faith, giving nothing in Return.
Hey @POTUS in 1986 my father made a deal with the Democrats Amnesty for Border Security my father is still waiting.U have no choice its now or never..#BuildTheWallNow

Dubya could write a similar tweet about his own dealings with these people.
They want what THEY want, not what the People want.
