Jada Pinkett Discusses Her Love Of Porn With Her 18yr. Old Daughter And It Gets WEIRDER

Pinkett revealed that she had “little porn addiction” in the past.

During an episode of the Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk, Jada Pinkett talks about a time when she had an “unhealthy relationship” with pornography. At the table with Pinkett is her teenage daughter, Willow, and Pinkett’s mother, Adrienne.

It’s a good thing that’s not weird at all.

The episode began as the trio were getting their makeup on for the show and chatting about how porn use has become normalized in the digital age. Willow said she likes the “expensive, artsy-looking” porn while Adrienne said that she apparently is “looking at the wrong stuff.”

Pinkett then describes the first time she looked at then-10-year-old Willow’s Tumbler page and on the way there, was shocked at the “hardcore pornography” that Willow was exposed to. As if to confirm the assertion that continued exposure to porn normalizes it, the teen downplayed it saying, “It really wasn’t, Mom. It really wasn’t. She’s overreacting. Tumbler is more the artistic aspect of it, though.” Pinkett pushes back saying, “Not what I saw. There was nothing artistic about that!”

[Psssst! Social Media(D) isn’t great for kids, pass it on!]

Pinkett then admitted that she had a “little porn addiction” and when she was “on [her] porn game” she told her daughter and her mother that she could have shown them some “good porn.”

“If I was still on my porn game, I’d be able to show you some good porn,” Jada told her co-hosts, daughter Willow and her mom Adrienne, at the beginning of the episode as the trio got ready backstage.

“Back in the day I had a little porn addiction, but I wasn’t in a relationship when I had a porn addiction, believe it or not, thank goodness,” the star — who has now been married to actor Will Smith for almost 22 years — added.

Pinkett admitted later that she may have used the term “addiction” lightly and that it was probably more like an “unhealthy relationship” and that her reliance on porn came from an “emotional” place.

When asked by her 18-year-old daughter if her “fixation” on porn came from an “emotional” place, Jada said it did.

“It was actually like feeling like an emptiness, at least you think it is,” she shared. “But it’s actually not.”

During the episode, the trio went on to discuss how there is a stigma around porn as well as how it can be “detrimental” to a person’s life.

I have no freaking clue.

Well, at least they all admitted that it was weird to talk about it with each other.

It’s actually a good thing that they’re talking about the negative effects of porn, especially when they interviewed a couple where the husband had struggled with a porn addiction from his first exposure at age 9.

Willow admitted that she was introduced to porn at an early age as well and it was her friends that pressured her to watch it together.

However, the trio took a fair amount of time to speak positively about porn by praising the “benefits” in assisting women in getting past some inhibitions and enable them to “express their sexuality.”

Lovely. It’s so nice that women being exploited for their bodies is helping “empower” other women in their sexual relationships. “Yay” for feminism, amirite? Let’s just ignore the fact that those porn stars may not be adults or consenting. These “actresses” may be victims of human trafficking. They may not be informed about what type of sex acts they’re going to be shooting, or even the number of partners they are expected to have sex with. But hey, at least they made Adrienne, Jada, and Willow comfortable with their sexuality.

And let’s be real, the life of a porn star isn’t the glamorous one that it is portrayed as. You can ask this ex-porn actress turned pastor about the life she used to live.

Yet, it is still possible to still get out of that trap.

It seems a bit disingenuous to talk out of both sides of their mouths like that — “Porn is empowering!” but “Porn addiction can destroy relationships.” They even cited that porn addicts are 300 times more likely to cheat on their partner.

The website Fight The New Drug warns about the effects of porn on relationships as well as the tremendous changes to the brain that can lead to depression, insecurity, anxiety, and self-esteem issues. It is absolutely devastating to many people.

In a previous episode of “Red Table Talk” Pinkett overshared about her sex life when she told her then-17-year old daughter that when she was her age, she was “giving herself multiple orgasms.” She then admitted that it was her grandmother that taught her about self-pleasure when she was just 9 years old because “she didn’t want me to fall into the hands of a man and if he gave me pleasure, to think that that was him. She taught me at 9! At 9!”

I don’t know what you think but it sounds to me like there’s something not quite right there.

While it is important to have age-appropriate discussions with your kids about sex, these Red Table Talk chats seemed like just a little too much information.
