Public schools are being used as an engine of propaganda to undercut allegiance to our own country. What kind of effect is it having? Well, you could look at the reactions to people kneeling for the anthem. Or you could just look at this poll.
…new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 61% of American Adults believe children should be required to say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning at school, but this finding has been trending down from a high of 77% in late 2008. Twenty-eight percent (28%) oppose saying the pledge every day, with 11% undecided.

This seems a good time to include Red Skelton’s piece from 1969 where he explained to a television audience what one teacher said to a class of kids who weren’t quite sure why the Pledge of Allegiance was important.
So, on one hand, you’ve got the ‘hate America first’ crowd who look for every possible flaw they can find in America (real or imagined) and shout it from the rooftops while ignoring anything it does right. On the other hand, you have the attitude expressed in Red Skelton’s short video explaining to children why the Pledge is a good thing.
Which side has got the right view of the pledge? Should it be continued, or Nah?
