Dear AOC: FBI and ICE Officials Concerned That ‘Political Discourse’ Is Making ICE Agents Targets Of Violence

The left says that President Trump is responsible for the El Paso shooting, does that mean that AOC is responsible for the attacks on ICE facilities?

There have been many prominent Democrats that have been making it clear that they want to abolish the Immigration & Customs Enforcement agency. The constant politicization of enforcing existing immigration law has riled-up some pretty extreme folks on the left.

The nutter behind the attack on the ICE facility in Tacoma was using the same incendiary language that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez(D-NY) has used — calling the ICE detention facilities “concentration camps.”

Oddly, the Media(D) hasn’t really laid the blame at her feet (the way they have with President Trump and the El Paso shooting) or even cautioned her to tone down the rhetoric.

The Tacoma attack was just one of several attacks all over the country at ICE facilities, including one just a few days ago in San Antonio, Texas. Shots were fired at an ICE office building with federal workers present. It was reportedly a very close call.

The FBI is currently investigating the incident in San Antonio.

“We had federal employees who were present, who although they were not hit by the rounds fired, by the grace of God. Had the bullets gone 2 inches in another direction, we could be here today talking about the murder of a federal official,” said Christopher Combs, FBI special agent in charge for San Antonio, during a news conference…

…An unknown number of individuals and vehicles pulled up and “fired numerous rounds into the ICE facility,” said Combs, adding that he doesn’t “think there is a question that they knew which floors the ICE offices were on.”

All of the shots discovered at this point were on the floors where ICE had offices, said Combs.

“To fire indiscriminately into any building, let alone a federal facility, is not an act of protest, it’s an act of violence,” he said. “We are concerned that there could be additional attacks.”

The concern that “political discourse” could lead to more violence is shared by both ICE officials and the FBI.

“Political rhetoric and misinformation that various politicians, media outlets and activist groups recklessly disseminate to the American people regarding the ICE mission only serve to further encourage these violent acts,” said ICE San Antonio Field Office Director Daniel Bible in a statement.

ICE agents have become targets and so have the private contractors that work with ICE.

Recently, protesters targeted the Geo Group, a private-sector company that provides services to ICE. It gets pretty bad, one protester says, “we know where you sleep at night.”
