You remember Ilhan Omar’s glib dismissal of 9/11, don’t you?
Those now-infamous words ‘some people did something’ in her defense of Hamas-affiliated CAIR?
Even that defense was based in an obvious lie. And Hamas, for those keeping score at home, is recognized by the US government as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.
It is connected to Hamas: Hamas, designated a terrorist organization by the U.S. and many other governments, indirectly created CAIR and the two groups remain tight. Examples: In 1994, CAIR head Nihad Awad publicly declared his support for Hamas; the Holy Land Foundation (HLF), a Hamas front group, contributed $5,000 to CAIR; in turn, CAIR exploited the 9/11 attacks to raise money for HLF; and, this past August, demonstrators at a CAIR-sponsored rally in Florida proclaimed “We are Hamas!”

She claimed CAIR was created to defend the rights of Muslims who were harrassed after ‘some people did something’ on 9/11. She framed them as a civil rights group.
That phrase lives on.
It was seen on the shirt of a man called upon to read the names of victims at the Pentagon — including his own mother.

Some people did something? I am here to honor my 76-year-old mother Francis on the solemn 18th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Mom, we all miss you, and love you very much.
This day I also remember over 200 personal friends and co-workers that I knew that died. I remember Virginia Fox, Juan Grifta, and Lou Avissano, and I remember you sons and your daughters, your parents and siblings and all first responders. I remember all — I remember them all and pray with you for them today. ‘Some people did something’ said a freshman Congresswoman from Minnesota to support and justify the creation of CAIR. Today I am here to respond to you exactly WHO did WHAT to WHOM.
Madam, objectively speaking, we know who and what was done. There is no uncertainty about that. Why your confusion? On that day, 19 Islamic Terrorist members of Al Quaeda killed over 3000 people and caused Billions of dollars of economic damage. Is that clear?
But as to whom, I was attacked. Your relatives and friends were attacked. Our Constitutional freedoms were attacked. And our nation’s founding on Judeo-Christian principles were attacked. That’s what ‘some people’ did.
Got that now?
We are here Congresswoman to tell you and The Squad just who did what to whom. Show respect in honoring them, please. American patriotism and your position demand it. For God and country… Amen.
We doubt The Squad heard you. But we’ll do our part to make sure America does.
Because this is exactly the kind of kick-in-the-ass reminder America needs on a day like today.
