House GOP Break Up Schiff-Show By Storming Into His Underground SCIF

Written by Wes Walker on October 24, 2019

They’re mad as Hell and they’re not going to take it anymore.

Well, that’s the message they’re hoping we are going to take away from it, anyway.

Now that Dems closed ranks and blocked the Censure vote against Schiff, there aren’t exactly a lot of tools left in their kit.

Pelosi is holding most of the cards here, and she’s not even PRETENDING to be interested in being bipartisan about this Stalinist show-trial.

So, Republicans made a point of storming in… to remind America that almost ALL of their elected representatives in the House have been entirely frozen out of any participation during this sham process.

They’re not even able to observe the questioning to see whether Schiff is being as belligerent as he has been with other witnesses, and whether he is discounting all the evidence that doesn’t fit his narrative so he can cherry-pick a few quotes that are immediately leaked to the media, that are supposedly SO sensitive that the other elected officials have no right to even observe the proceedings or receive the transcripts.

This is an orchestrated media smear campaign and an absolute abuse of power, and if it was happening to a politician with a (D) after his name the entire Media culture would be talking about literally nothing else 24/7.

But our media ‘betters’ are perfectly happy to go along with such tyrannical abuses of power if it helps their side gain political advantage.

Republicans are left with few other options than to stage a protest, underscoring just how unjust this process has been.

Over a dozen Republican lawmakers gathered outside of the private meeting room Wednesday and told reporters that they would try to enter the closed-door deposition regarding the official impeachment inquiry into Trump. The House intelligence, foreign affairs and oversight committees are leading these proceedings after allegations that Trump asked Ukrainian officials to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden.

“We’re gonna go and see if we can get inside,” Republican Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz told reporters, according to a video posted on Twitter.

The incident caused a delay in proceedings, Democratic Virginia Rep. Gerry Connolly said, according to Washington Post reporter Rachael Bade. The Democrats were “consulting [Sergeant] at Arms,” she tweeted. Defense Department official Laura Cooper was testifying about allegations that the U.S. withheld military aid from Ukraine as Trump was allegedly trying to get officials to look into Joe Biden.

What prompted this pushback?

It might have been a public rap on the knuckles by the POTUS himself:

“I think they’re lousy politicians,” Trump said Monday about Democrats during a Cabinet meeting. “But two things they have: They’re vicious and they stick together. They don’t have [Utah GOP Sen.] Mitt Romney in their midst. They don’t have people like that. They stick together. You never see them break off.”
