WATCH: Gen. Tony Thomas Says That LEAKS Foiled A Previous Attempt To Get Baghdadi

Democrats are bent out of shape because they were kept in the dark. There’s a reason for that.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi(D-CA), Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer(D-NY), and Rep. Adam Schiff(D-CA) have all made a big stink about not being informed in advance about the U.S. military raid that caused al-Baghdadi to explode himself while using three of his children as human shields.

Democrats are furious they were not told ahead of time about the raid that killed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and are now pressing for a full briefing on what happened.

Trump and his deputies have defended the decision not to notify Democrats, accusing them of leaking. And two of the president’s top Republican allies said Monday they too were not told in advance of the raid.

Democrats claim that this is a “pattern of behavior” that is keeping them in the dark about Trump administration actions in Syria.

“For almost a month now, we’ve been requesting an all-senators briefing from the administration on its Syria policy,” Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) said Monday. “And according to reports, the Trump administration gave Russia and Turkey some kind of advanced notice of the raid of al-Baghdadi but, seemingly by deliberate choice, neglected to notify the leaders of Congress as is custom in this case.”

“It seems clear that the Trump administration is either reluctant or simply unwilling to keep Congress in the loop on its plan to defeat ISIS and protect American interests in the region,” he added. “The most likely explanation, unfortunately, is that it does not have one.”

Sure, Chuck. That’s the ticket.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi bobbleheaded along with that reasoning, but added in — the Russians!

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) quickly slammed Trump for telling “the Russians but not top congressional leadership.”

“The House must be briefed on this raid, which the Russians but not top congressional leadership were notified of in advance, and on the Administration’s overall strategy in the region,” Pelosi said in a statement Sunday. “Our military and allies deserve strong, smart and strategic leadership from Washington.”

A Pelosi spokesman said Monday that a briefing has been requested, but “it has not been granted yet.”

If the Russians are more trustworthy than the Democrats, maybe that’s a “you” problem, Nancy.

And here’s a lead for you… Congressman Adam Schiff.

Everyone and their dog knows that he’s been leaking things to the press for months.

Gee, maybe that’s the reason that the President doesn’t tell the Democrats everything and has to hide innocuous phone calls on private servers. This White House has been leaking from Day 1 and President Trump knows it.

Leaks are dangerous.

Back in 2017, General Tony Thomas said that the U.S. forces had been close to capturing or killing al-Baghdadi several times, but in one particular instance, some of the intelligence that was gathered was leaked to the New York Times which, once reported, killed their lead.

“That was a very good lead. Unfortunately, it was leaked in a prominent national newspaper about a week later and that lead went dead,” Thomas said. “The challenge we have [is] in terms of where and how our tactics and procedures are discussed openly. There’s a great need to inform the American public about what we’re up to. There’s also great need to recognize things that will absolutely undercut our ability to do our job.”

Thomas appeared to be referring to a New York Times report in June 2015 that detailed how American intelligence agencies had “extracted valuable information.”

”New insights yielded by the seized trove – four to seven terabytes of data, according to one official – include how the organization’s shadowy leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, operates and tries to avoid being tracked by coalition forces,” the Times reported.

Publishing leaks let that terrorist monster continue to operate for two extra years.

Good work, Media(D)!
