DEMONIC: State Just Voted Down Bill Mandating Medical Care To Abortion Survivors

You’d think that once a baby is breathing, it would be non-controversial to expect doctors would do everything possible to save that life, but you’d be wrong.

In Colorado, legislation was put forward that would obligate medical staff to intervene and save a life once that first breath had been taken. But the abortion lobby has over-ruled common sense.

Just because you have been born into this world, doesn’t mean your life has value, anymore. Under these new rules, you only have value if mom ‘assigns’ you some.

If you are worthless or disposable, you will die, even if you manage to survive attempts to abort you.

Let that same woman give birth in a public toilet and discard her baby in the trash, however, and she’ll face a criminal trial for it.

The only difference between the two scenarios is the desire for an abortion.

On Tuesday, Colorado Democrats voted down a bill seeking to mandate medical care to born-alive survivors of abortions, House Bill 1068.

“The bill establishes a physician-patient relationship between a child born alive after or during an abortion and the physician who performed or attempted to perform the abortion,” outlines Colorado.gov.

The bill would require physicians “to exercise the same degree of professional skill, care, and diligence to preserve the life and health of the child as a reasonably diligent and conscientious physician would render to any other child born alive at the same gestational age and requires that the child born alive be immediately transferred to a hospital.”DailyWire

It was one of two pro-life bills defeated along party lines, the other limiting abortion at 22 weeks, which is the upper limit in all but 7 countries globally.

Republican Colorado Rep. Shane Sandridge, the sponsor of House Bill 1068, emphasized that the legislation is not an abortion bill, but a bill against murder.

“It’s not an abortion bill,” Sandridge said, according to the outlet. “It’s a murder bill.”

…National Right to Life legislative director Jennifer Popik ripped Democrats over their votes, reported CBN News.

“Pro-abortion Democrats oppose this bill and they should be forced to explain why their allegiance to the abortion industry’s agenda should allow a practice that is tantamount to infanticide,” Popik said. “It is outrageous that a born-alive human person may be subjected to lethal violence with impunity or be treated as if she is medical waste.”

Jeff Hunt, director of the Centennial Institute tweeted after the vote: “The Colorado legislature just voted down a bill that would require a doctor to provide medical care to a child who is born alive after surviving an abortion. A child is born, in need of help, and the Colorado legislature voted against mandating care,” he wrote. “God have mercy.”DailyWire
