Michael Bloomberg is flooding the nation with commercials promoting his candidacy.
He imagines himself the REAL contender for the 2020 nomination, and ultimately, the obvious choice for President in November. We suspect he will find himself gravely disappointed… and we would be surprised if all his cash will be enough to knock off Bernie.
One of the problems Democrats have found themselves facing lately is a function of their own arrogance.
They have dismissed, talked down to, and derided rural America so often and for so long that there a mutual distrust forming between both sides. The Dems hate the values that drive the ‘deplorables’ in ‘flyover country’, and rural America is pretty sick of costal elites assuming that multi-million-dollar homes, private jets, and gated communities confer any sense of moral superiority over the rest of America.
But when a billionaire media mogul who looks like he’s never even SEEN a farm speaks so condescendingly about something he obviously knows nothing about, well, that seems a curious way to win the hearts and minds of voters.
Or does he only imagine himself as leader of blue states and only willing to represent THEIR interests?
Here he is, waxing philosophical on farmers a couple of weeks after Trump was elected:

Sorry, Bloomberg. IT is not so complicated as you imagine. It is simply a different specialization. There are smart people and dumb people in every walk of life.
This is the correct response to anyone blowing off an entire class of people you imagine yourself better and smarter than:

He might see himself as the reasonable moderate alternative to Bernie, but it’s hard to imagine someone as intrinsically unlikable as Bloomberg getting enough traction to win his party’s nod.

You might be a billionaire, but you have to go through the PEOPLE to get to the White House… and if they think you hold the people you want to lead in contempt, that’s not going to play well in the states you’d need to win.
Just ask Hillary. She could tell you all about it, if she ever gets past the denial stage of her grief.
