The name-calling and search-and-destroy politicking which have become the preferred tactic for most sides nowadays and that, accordingly, is inundating American culture really needs to stop. Partisan viciousness has significantly replaced thoughtful and spirited debate nearly all around;and that’s a poison — a spiritual coronavirus, if I may — that is eating away at the soul of the nation.
Presumably, in pursuit of ameliorating the political atmosphere, a handful of commentators have lately counselled we need not label as “evil” everyone who disagrees with our viewpoints. This is certainly a prudent and much-needed admonition.
Still … attempting to smuggle pro-abortion legislation into a bill that finances an aggressive governmental coronavirus response? How else can that be called out other than something that is just plan evil.
Which means Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is involved in propagating evil.
Disrn’s Daniel Payne is reporting that:
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) allegedly sought to include a provision in the coronavirus economic stimulus bill that would have directed funding to abortion clinics in violation of federal law, according to The Daily Caller.
“Multiple senior White House officials” claimed that Pelosi, as part of negotiations over the bill, attempted to lobby for “a mandate for up to $1 billion to reimburse laboratory claims” that White House sources said would “set a precedent of health spending without protections outlined in the Hyde Amendment … [which] forbids federal money being spent on abortion services”
One White House official said:
“Under the guise of protecting people, Speaker Pelosi is working to make sure taxpayer dollars are spent covering abortion — which is not only backwards, but goes against historical norms.”
To be clear: Pelosi is throwing in with efforts to quench innocent human lives while pounding the table over the importance of saving endangered human lives. Yowza! Conflicted ethics much? Putting it diplomatically, the Lady from San Fran’s morality is, at best, ambidextrous. Putting it less delicately, notwithstanding her not infrequent allusions to Scripture and paeans to her “ardent, practicing” Catholic faith, her morality is satanic.
Glenn Back tagged her scheming “despicable”. Gary Bauer called is “sick” Either of those will work too — but I’m gonna stick with “evil”.
The bottom line is: Madame Defarge of the Bay and the political party she leads, and which essentially endorses her approach to all things baby-killing, are an affront to common decency. One early benefit yielded by the coronavirus scare: Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi’s depravity has been placed center stage, under the spotlight.
America, take a gander.
