Cuomo’s Officials Caught Cooking The Books On Nursing Home Deaths

New York State had a serious problem on their hands… one of their own making. There was a serious spike in nursing home COVID cases.

Not only was there a spike in WuFlu cases in New York’s nursing homes because Team Cuomo ordered nursing homes to accept infectious patients for care, but we later learned that it was worse than that.

In some cases, COVID positive staff were sent to offer nursing home care.

The state Health Department allowed nurses and other staff who tested positive for the coronavirus to continue treating COVID-19 patients at an upstate nursing home, The Post has learned.

State officials signed off on the move during an April 10 conference call that excluded local officials from Steuben County, who protested the move, according to a document provided by the county government’s top administrator, Jack Wheeler.

At least 15 people have died at the Hornell Gardens nursing home in the tiny town of Hornell since the outbreak, according to county tallies. State records show just seven deaths across the county and include no data about this home. —NYPost

A large part of the massive spike in cases was driven by MENSA-level decisions like these. By the end of April, they were being called out for it. A lot. For example, this story was written on April 27th: Cuomo Finally Feeling Heat Over Nursing Home Fatalities

Meanwhile, Nursing home staff has been sounding the alarm for a full month, since Cuomo had signed that order sending infectious patients into nursing homes.

As you would expect, the disease spread through nursing homes like a brushfire through a Californian mountainside.

And now that those numbers make Team Cuomo — personally — look bad, they’re cooking the books.

In early May, reports from the state started to leave out long-term care residents who lost their lives from the coronavirus in hospitals, and New York still leads the nation in nursing home deaths, with 5,433 as of Wednesday.

The New York Department of Health confirmed it was disclosing nursing home deaths regardless of whether the patient died there or in a hospital until around April 28. But the department made a “subtle” change around May 3, according to web archives, and now only reports deaths if the patient died while physically present at a facility.

New York’s coronavirus tracker “currently does not include out of facility deaths,” Jill Montag, an NYSDOH spokeswoman, said. “Deaths of nursing home and adult care facility residents that occurred at hospitals is accounted for in the overall fatality data on our COVID-19 tracker.”

“In other words, New York’s nursing home and adult care facility coronavirus deaths tracker omits any individuals who contracted coronavirus while living at a long-term care facility but died in a hospital,” the Daily Caller article states. — WashingtonExaminer

What makes this even MORE damning?

We have heard reports that any number of supposed Chinese Coronavirus deaths have never been verified as testing positive… with specific examples of individuals to back that up.
