Jimmy Kimmel’s Apology For ‘Deceptive Video’ Includes Claim ‘Lunatic’ MAGA Hats Are Threatening Him
Do you believe him, or is this a Jussie Smollett-level hoax?
First of all, Jimmy Kimmel is a sad, pathetic excuse for a late-night talk show host. He’s not even really doing comedy anymore, it’s all political commentary as he looks down his nose at the “lunatics” that could possibly have an opinion that diverges from his own enlightened worldview. He’s a one-trick pony with a single joke that his left-tilting audience finds hilarious–mock the President and the rubes that support him. Kimmel is a cheap, dollar-store knock-off of Jon Stewart without the wit, comedic timing, or likeability.
Kimmel has no humor, no creativity, and no balls to step up and actually admit that he’s wrong on occasion. He deserves every scathing word of mockery that he gets.
He does not, however, ever deserve a threat of violence, let alone death threat. He’s a stupid, loudmouth, jerk that has suddenly seen the light that women should be treated as human beings instead of just watching their ta-tas bounce up and down as they jump on a trampoline, or feel what’s in his pocket.
Late last week, Kimmel posted a video of Vice President Mike Pence allegedly caught on a “hot mic” saying that he was carrying empty boxes of personal protective equipment to an Alexandria, Virginia medical facility. The thing is, the video mischaracterized the situation and the Vice President was making a joke.

The video got Kimmel in a bit of a Twitter feud with the President and a public apology was requested by the Office of the Vice President. It seems like a reasonable request since it was retweeted by the Serious Journalists™ and not just some pathetic, crying former comedians-turned-political commentators on late-night television. He does have a pretty big audience and name recognition, after all. That’s how the video spread in the first place.
Kimmel then went on to make his public apology.
“Apologizing to the Trump administration for spreading untruth is like apologizing to Barry Bonds for using steroids. It’s hard.” Kimmel joked.
“But the outrage from the MAGA hats, the outpouring of venom, was disgusting. Stupid too, but mostly disgusting. Some of these lunatics have the audacity to use the word Christian in their bios, but that didn’t stop them from wishing death on me, on my family, on my son.”

It’s rather convenient that a bunch of “lunatic” MAGA hats with “Christian” in their bios are threatening him with violence. I’m skeptical.
Of course, he couldn’t stop the digs. Kimmel said, “spreading misinformation is their thing and I stepped on their toes.”
He then went on to spout off on a whole lot of things that the Trump administration has lied about–but some of them have been debunked like the Charlottesville Hoax, the child separation policy that began under the Obama administration, and “Russian collusion.”
But hey, we don’t expect some lefty former-comedian who spreads disinformation to put a priority on truth and facts, do we?
KIMMEL: We would like an apology for separating thousands of migrant children from their parents, inviting the Taliban to Camp David, siding with Vladimir Putin over U.S. intelligence, calling Neo-nazis ‘very fine people,’ using campaign money to pay off a porn star, mocking a 16-year-old climate activist, mocking Christine Blasey Ford, obstruction of justice, ignoring warnings on coronavirus, downplaying the dangers of coronavirus, mishandling the coronavirus, we still don’t have tests for the coronavirus, why are we opening the country when we have no tests for coronavirus?

I’d love to see who those MAGA supporters that threatened him were–chances are that they’re dummy accounts owned by libs trying to make Trump supporters look bad. It’s not like that would be anything new, it’s literally the that Jussie Smollett and so many others have been doing since November 2016.
