Woke Police Chief Lies Face Down At ‘Die-In’ While BLM Crowd Chants

We live in an upside-down world where performative acts of contrition are more important to ‘justice’ than criminal charges laid against offenders.

We’re not seeing any obvious connection between this chief of police doing what amounts to a publicity stunt and the wrongful death of George Floyd.

Hundreds of demonstrators staged a die-in on Saturday in Webster, Massachusetts, to call for justice for George Floyd and other victims of police brutality. During the theatrical protest, the police chief of Webster participated, and laid face down on the pavement for over eight minutes.

Webster Police Chief Michael Shaw joined several hundred protesters during an anti-police brutality demonstration. During the protest ignited by the death of George Floyd, Shaw joined Black Lives Matter protesters in a die-in, according to Telegram. Shaw took part in a dramatic reenactment of George Floyd’s death.

With his hands behind his back, Shaw laid face down on the ground for the exact amount of time Floyd was held down by Minneapolis police officers. The die-in is supposed to be a recreation of the scene where Floyd died when ex-cop Derek Chauvin put his knee on Floyd’s neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds.

During the eight-minute reenactment, protesters screamed the last words of Floyd, such as “mama” and “I can’t breathe.” — The Blaze

And how did all the chanting end? With a rare glimpse of intellectual honesty on their side.

At the end of chants of ‘thank you chief’, one voice cried out, ‘It’s not enough, but it’s a start.’

Why is it a start? Because one man allowed himself to be publicly humiliated? What, exactly was it a ‘start’ toward doing?

We haven’t even established the MOTIVE for WHY Floyd’s neck was pinned under Chauvin’s knee. Was this an example of racially motivated violence? It’s possible, but he hasn’t had his day in court, yet, has he?

Making sure police training wasted less money on BS ideological lessons, and gave more training on the lawful use of force in conflict situations? That might be a ‘start’.

Reforming powerful unions — like the police union — so that people in positions of power and influence failing to live up to the standards and expectations of police (or School teachers, for that matter) are not shielded from being suspended, demoted, or outright fired. THAT might be a ‘start’. Getting rid of bad apples when they are showing the early signs of abuse of power, rather than waiting for them to be thoroughly corrupted.

Criminally charging the police involved in the death of George Floyd — that is a start. Justice is all about equality under the law, were we all stand before a judge who determines innocence and guilt, and applies a lawful sentence to the guilty.

Where have we seen this behavior before?

That doesn’t do much, either.

What do you think… was this Police Chief extending an olive branch? Or was he waving a surrender flag?
