IS HE NUTS? Dr. Fauci Says That New York Is A ‘Successful Example’ Of How To Handle COVID–‘They Did It Correctly’ (VIDEO)
How can we take the esteemed Dr. Fauci after his flip-flop on masks and now…THIS?
Dr. Anthony Fauci, a prominent member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, has been under fire for mixed messages from the beginning of the pandemic.
Early on, he said that it would be irresponsible for U.S. residents to wear masks because they were (a) ineffective for the general population, and (b) should be reserved for medical professionals and first responders because there was a shortage. Dr. Fauci later said that masks prevent the spread of the virus.
Dr. Fauci has also said that church services were dangerous, but hook-up apps…well, that’s a different story.
Rudy Giuliani noted that Dr. Fauci had invested in the Wuhan Institute of Virology–the place that is believed by intelligence agencies to be the actual center of origin for the virus.
So, let’s just say he’s not exactly got a stellar record with this pandemic.
Frankly, it’s because of medical experts like Dr. Fauci that have been spouting conflicting guidelines for months are precisely why so many people are dismissing the experts today.
Now, he’s touting the state of New York (of all places) as an example to the states where cases of COVID are spiking.
White House health advisor Anthony Fauci has praised New York for its handling of the coronavirus pandemic, saying the state responded “correctly” to bring its outbreak under control.
“We know that, when you do it properly, you bring down those cases. We have done it. We have done it in New York,” Fauci said in an interview with “PBS NewsHour” that aired Friday evening.
“New York got hit worse than any place in the world. And they did it correctly by doing the things that you’re talking about,” he continued.
New York was once the epicenter of the outbreak in the United States with more than 10,000 new cases a day during its peak outbreak in April. The state has dramatically reduced daily new infections to 776 as of Thursday.

New York has been hit with the virus worse than any place on earth (that we know of) and it ran rampant through the state with over 408,000 people with confirmed cases, 32,000 people dead, a disastrous policy that put the most vulnerable at risk, and refused to use resources available to them such as the emergency hospital set up at the Javits Center and the USNS Comfort–but now that cases are dropping New York is suddenly an example to the other states. They’re a “model” to follow, apparently.
Does Dr. Fauci mean this model?

Now that New York has been ravaged by the virus, the Governor of New York is crowing about the success and the Phase 4 reopening.
NYC has been cleared to enter Phase 4 of reopening, starting Monday, July 20.
Phase 4 will not include indoor activity in malls, restaurants or cultural institutions at this point.
I'm so proud of what New Yorkers have done. But we must continue to be on alert.

Imagine taking a victory lap in the middle of a pandemic and on the bodies of more than 32,000 residents. Imagine the hubris it takes to create a “commemorative” poster to peddle to the unwashed masses touting your own alleged success and a bunch of your inside jokes all over it.
WTF? Governor Cuomo Announces COVID Commemorative Poster For Sale By New York State
But here’s the thing about New York and COVID…
If you look at the numbers, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts have had more deaths per capita than any U.S. state or any country in the world.
“If you insulate people from paying the price of being wrong, you’re going to get a lot of wrong things done.”
-Thomas SowellNY, NJ, CT, and MA all have had more deaths per capita than any US State and any country in the world.

Some are calling that graph disingenuous because it doesn’t factor in a whole host of reasons why the virus spread in those locations more than in others. Also, they had spikes early before mitigation efforts were taken.
If you look at the latest coronavirus numbers, take a look at New York, California, and Florida–numbers 1, 2, and 3 on the highest confirmed cases chart. Although Cali and New York are reasonably close with their confirmed cases of COVID, New York is far and away the leader in deaths. It’s the same with Florida, which has a large population of elderly residents, still wasn’t hit with the death numbers that New York was seeing.

The important numbers are hospitalization and case fatality rates.
But the fearmongering media doesn’t want us looking too closely at case fatality rates.
It breaks the narrative.
COVID-19 Case Fatality Rate (CFR) comparison of USA with European Union and Canada.
Again, why does the media pretend the USA is doing the worst in the world? 🤔

Perhaps the issue is that New York has had the virus run through the population and they’re closer to local herd immunity because they have antibodies. More people aren’t getting it because they’ve already had it. I don’t know for sure, after all, I’m no virologist.
The thing is, it’s a big problem when you have medical “experts” spouting off on things that are just flat-out wrong. New York didn’t handle the virus well, and it doesn’t take a virologist to see that.
