WATCH: Nutty Nancy Pelosi Won’t Denounce Lawless Mob Tearing Down Statues–‘People Do What They Do’
Of course, she won’t denounce mobs tearing down statues–that’s the base of the Democratic Party in 2020.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi(D-CA) has proudly proclaimed her Italian heritage and her Catholic faith for years. Christopher Columbus isn’t viewed as quite so “problematic” in either of those circles.
It would seem that Speaker Pelosi has looked at the way that the Democratic Party is trending and has decided to get “woke” and toss Columbus under the bus.
It should be noted that Baltimore is Pelosi’s hometown–her father, Thomas D’Alesandro Jr. was mayor of Baltimore and later, so was her brother, Thomas D’Alesandro III.
Pelosi’s dad even dedicated a well-known landmark in Baltimore.
Pelosi Calls For Removal Of Confederate Statues But Remains Silent On Her Father’s Dedication Of One
On Thursday, the octogenarian Speaker of the House was asked about a statue of Christopher Columbus that was torn down in Baltimore and tossed into the inner harbor near Little Italy.
Pelosi said that she’s not a big fan of statues and monuments, and if people decide that a statue should go, then it should go. When pushed by reporters about whether the decision should be made by city councils (as was done regarding the Andrew Jackson statue in Jackson, Missouri,) or by “a mob in the middle of the night throwing it into the harbor,” she responded, “People will do what they do.”

“People will do what they do,” says the Speaker.
She’s refusing to denounce roving mobs at night vandalizing public property.

Do you think she’d have the same view if the statues vandalized were those of LGBT activist but known pedophile Harvey Milk, serial sexual predator former President Bill Clinton, commie and executioner Che Guevara who was also racist, or heck, former Democratic Senator and Klansman, Robert Byrd?
What about the bust of racist eugenicist Margaret Sanger in the Smithsonian? Shouldn’t that be removed if we’re purging monuments of vocal anti-black bigots? If the Founding Fathers can be erased for being opposed to slavery but not abolishing it, surely Sanger who has committed what would normally be considered genocide of unborn black children should be removed from the museum dedicated to preserving our history?
I’m thinking that Nancy would have a very different view if conservatives decided to just take it upon themselves to remove things that they found offensive. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely to be tested since those on the right tend to favor law and order rather than unruly, lawless mobs.
It looks like the 2018 midterm slogan is still right–jobs not mobs.
