COVIDICTATORS DOWN UNDER: Here’s 7 Ways Australian Politicians Are Getting VERY Authoritarian Under Guise Of COVID-19

The Australian authorities aren’t “letting a crisis go to waste”–they’re trampling all over the rights of Australians. Check it out…

In the U.S., we’re so focused on what’s going on in our country that we don’t always take note of what’s happening elsewhere.

There have been some really crazy power-grabs by wanna-be dictators who are using the coronavirus pandemic to implement some harsh restrictions on Australians.

There are locked borders restricting travel between states which has been devastating for economic recovery.

1. Lockdowns in Victoria include a curfew, mandatory masks, a limit of one hour outside the home for exercise, and travel must not be more than 5 km from home.

Currently, the state of Victoria is on lockdown, and hoping to ease the restrictions by mid-September, but there has been a recent spike of 113 cases that puts that in question.

When it was first imposed, the Premier of Victoria, Daniel Andrews said, “We can no longer have people simply out and about for no good reason whatsoever. It is not an easy decision to make but it is necessary and that’s why I’ve made it and that’s why police will be out in force and you will be stopped and you will be asked and need to demonstrate that you are lawfully out and you are not breaching that curfew.”

“All we ask for is to make a relatively minor change to the public health and well-being act, and to make sure that the law of our state reflects and is equal to the challenge that our state faces,” he (ANdrews) said.

The current lockdown, which includes a curfew between 8pm and 5am, was introduced on August 2 when case numbers spiked to 621. The Premier declared a state of disaster and brought in the Australian Defence Force to begin doorknocking.

Businesses were shuttered and workers were sent home to wait for better news to come. But three weeks later they are still waiting.

Masks have become mandatory and strict fines are in place for those who fail to wear them without a genuine medical excuse.

Exercise is also affected – Victorians can only leave the home for an hour of exercise each day and shopping is restricted to one person per household, once a day.

2. Police have been criticized for overreach.

The enforcement has also been questioned. This interaction between police and a woman who, it turns out, had a mask exemption had gone viral.

Summit News reports that police can enter homes without warrants to conduct “check-ins” on residents to ensure the draconian measures are being followed.

3. Drones are being used to ensure compliance with the lockdown.

Is someone more than 5km from their home? Are they refusing to wear a mask outside? Are they spending more than an hour outside of their homes? Having a beer on the roof?

Release the drones!

The Aussies are setting up a low-rent prototype for Skynet…did the Terminator movies not air down under?

4. Authorities in South Australia have amended the Emergency Response Act to include the removal of children to a hospital or “quarantine facility.”

The Emergency Response Act of 2004 has been updated in the COVID-era, and it’s created some new powers during the pandemic. One of them is enumerated in Schedule 2, Section 5:

—Removal of children
(1) Without derogating from section 25, an authorised officer may, for the purpose of ensuring compliance with any direction under that section, remove a child from any premises, place, vehicle or vessel to a place of residence of the child or to a hospital or quarantine facility, as the authorised officer thinks fit (and may, in doing so, use such force as is reasonably necessary).
A child is defined as anyone under the age of 18.

So, they can go into a home without a warrant and remove children if they see fit. Alrighty then.

5. The Government of Australia has signed a deal with one drug company for a vaccine. The Prime Minister had vowed to make the vaccine “as mandatory as possible” but had to quickly backtrack.

Amid rising pressure to lock in supply of a coronavirus vaccine, the Government has signed an agreement with UK-based drug company AstraZeneca to secure the potential COVID-19 vaccine developed by Oxford University, if its trials prove successful.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison said if the vaccine succeeded, the Government would manufacture it immediately and make it free for all Australians.

“The Oxford vaccine is one of the most advanced and promising in the world, and under this deal we have secured early access for every Australian,” he said.

At first, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said that he would make the vaccine “as mandatory as possible.

But hours later, Morrison amended the plan, saying people would have a choice.

“It is not going to be compulsory to have the vaccine, OK? It’s not compulsory. There are no compulsory vaccines in Australia,” he told 2GB radio.

“There will be a lot of encouragement and measures to get as high a rate of acceptance as usual.”

6. There is now discussion about requiring proof of vaccine to travel to Australia.

You might have to “show your papers” if you want to visit Australia in the future.

7. The lockdown in Victoria could last until September 2021.

Premier Andrews has apparently enjoyed the taste of power, so he wants to extend the state of emergency for another twelve months. He’s even talking about continuing this restricted lifestyle until there is a vaccine.

That’s insane!

How have the Australian people accepted these horrendous restrictions?

Curfews? Limits of 5 km from your home? One person per household allowed to go shopping for one hour per day? One hour of exercise outside the home? And Premier Andrews wants this to continue for another 12 months?!

Geez! That’s nuts!

It looks like there’s some push-back, but this is getting really crazy. This virus has a nearly 99% recovery rate. Are we going to shut-down forever? That’s not an option. We’re going to need to adapt.
