Pelosi Bashes Birx And Praises Fauci Despite His Obvious Mistakes In COVID Recommendations–Is That Sexist?
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi keeps saying that we need to “listen to the experts” but there’s one expert that she really doesn’t like much…Dr. Deborah Birx.
On July 30, Speaker Pelosi(D-CA) was apparently trashing Dr. Birx behind closed doors.
So says POLITICO‘s Jake Sherman who tweeted about it on July 31 and included all the juicy deets in the POLITICO Playbook.
Pelosi allegedly told Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, “Deborah Birx is the worst. Wow, what horrible hands you’re in,” she then accused Birx of spreading disinformation and praised Fauci.

She accused BIRX of spreading disinformation about the coronavirus pandemic, while praising ANTHONY FAUCI, who she said “came to his senses, and is now a hero.”

Basically, Pelosi only likes the “experts” that agree with her.
The politicization of a global pandemic continues apace.
Laura Ingraham discussed the trashing of Birx on her Friday evening show:
But the Speaker of the House is apparently doubling-down now that her disdain for the scarf-clad head of the Coronavirus Task Force.
Pelosi said on ABC’s “This Week,” that because Dr. Birx is a Trump appointee, and because the president himself ”is spreading disinformation about the virus,” she does not have confidence in Birx.
“I think the president is spreading disinformation about the virus, and she’s his appointee,” Pelosi said on ABC’s “This Week.” “I don’t have confidence, no.”

Is she jealous of the scarves or what?
So, the question remains–why is Pelosi bashing Birx and praising Fauci? Neither one of them have been 100% on the COVID response–Dr. Birx is now suggesting we all wear face shields in addition to masks, and Dr. Fauci is advocating for goggles or eye shields. But let’s be frank, Dr. Fauci got things spectacularly wrong early on with his no mask comments and his tacit approval of continuing to use hook-up apps like Tinder. His flip-flops on all things COVID have been mocked by El Presidente of Barstool Sports. Yet, Fauci is revered by Pelosi but she has no confidence in Birx.
Why are “progressive” women so often dismissive of women that they don’t agree with?

It’s weird because Dr. Birx is pushing panic just like the Democrats and the Media(D) want right before the election.
Dr. Birx warns that we are in a “new phase” of the virus and “What we are seeing today is different from March and April.” She also suggested that people in multi-generational households should consider wearing a mask inside the home as well.
Wow! You’d think that would be music to Pelosi’s ears!
It’s interesting that Dr. Birx isn’t nearly as catty as the Speaker of the House. When asked what she thought of the Speaker of the House, she was far more generous in her praise than I would’ve been.
But Birx said she has “tremendous respect for the speaker” when asked about Pelosi’s comments Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
“I have tremendous respect for her long dedication to the American people,” Birx told host Dana Bash.
