WATCH: Man Attempts Rape In Manhattan Subway … Gutless Crowd Shouts, But Doesn’t Intervene

No shame together with no fear of consequence leads us down some terrible roads. Forget all of Biden’s talk about ‘Trump’s America’ this is de Blasio’s New York, where a young woman can be raped in broad daylight at a subway. And Cuomo gets some credit for it too.

What happens in the city where crime goes unpunished and even bank robbers can get released only to and rob another bank with impunity and no fear of jail time? In a city where the police are over-wrought and on the defensive because they are being painted as the enemy?

The city’s underclass gets to make New York ‘Gotham’ again. And who’s left paying the price for it? Regular people.

Regular people like a 25-year-old young lady whose only fault was mistakenly believing that it would be safe to travel in Manhattan by subway at 11 am.

The man — who had been literally interrupted while in the act itself — was in no particular hurry when he left. He casually leaned over, picked up his sunglasses, made no attempt to hide his face, and didn’t show the least sign of being either afraid or embarrassed after what he had done.

The good news is that they caught this little sonofabitch.

A New York City man who was caught on camera allegedly attempting to rape a 25-year-old woman on an Upper East Side subway platform has been arrested, authorities said.

Detectives with the 23rd Precinct took Jose Reyes, a Bronx resident, into custody on Sunday at 12:29pm at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and East 105th Street in East Harlem.

He has been charged with attempted rape, assault and harassment.

Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison said during a press conference that police used the NYPD’s facial recognition program to identify Reyes.

The program matched an image of Reyes’ face to a previous mugshot he acquired earlier this year from a criminal mischief arrest.

Harrison also said that three tips reported to the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline helped locate Reyes.

‘The individual then climbed on top of the female and attempted to rape her, but he stopped when a crowd of bystanders formed,’ New York Police said.

Videos were taken by witnesses and show Reyes on top of the woman on the ground.

The woman was reportedly heard screaming and bystanders yelled and shouted at the suspect to get off of her.

‘Hey get off her,’ a person yelled at the attacker in video of the incident. —DailyMail

The good news was that he was apprehended. What was the bad news?

The bad news is that the same crowd that had formed to yell at him to ‘stop’ didn’t lift a finger to help him. You’d think they could have dog-piled him and beat him until HE was the one calling for the police to come save him.

There was a time when that’s exactly what would have happened.

Instead, he walked out of there like he owned the place.

The criminal is part of this story, sure. But so is the cowardice in a time when what people like his vicitim REALLY need are some good old-fashioned heroes who will giddyup when the call to action comes.
