Normally setting the altar of a church ablaze is a bad thing, but in this case, it’s warranted.
The Archdiocese of New Orleans has burned the altar of Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in Pearl River, Louisiana after it was discovered that the priest, Rev. Travis Clark, performed sexual acts with two dominatrices in the church sanctuary, including on the altar.
Clark, 37, was arrested after hosting an alleged threesome with Mindy Dixon and Melissa Cheng, both professional dominatrices, at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church on September 30.
The incident unfurled when they were caught by a passerby, who noticed the church’s lights were on after hours.
The witness looked in the window and saw the scantily clad women in corsets and the priest partially clothed. Stage lighting, sex toys, and a cellphone on a tripod were also said to be on the stage.
The authorities were called and all three people involved were charged with obscenity for engaging in sex in a place open to public view. The altar was reportedly visible through the window.
The altar is where communion — the wafers and wine representing the body and blood of Christ — is consecrated before it is given to parishioners.
According to Church law, when sacred places are violated they must be “repaired by penitential rite” before they can be used again.
The two women, Mindy Dixon and Melissa Cheng, were both advertising dominatrix services online and had apparently traveled to Lousiana to meet with Clark.
Dixon, 41, who goes by the name Lady Vi, lives with her husband in Seattle and describes herself as “the embodiment of sin exquisitely crafted into flesh and bone.” She emphasizes that her services don’t include engaging in sex with her clients, but says, “I am highly skilled at weaponizing lust and using it to bring men and women to their knees.”
Cheng, 23, has offered her dominatrix services in Detroit, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles.
Cheng writes: ‘I have studied the art of Domination for years and it is My greatest passion.
‘I love being able to break a person down, take them apart, then put them back together… My way.
‘Being able to bend men to My will and bring the powerful to their knees is a talent that comes naturally for Me.’
Cheng charges $350 an hour, she says, and provides a list of the fetishes she will accommodate.
The website Nola.com reported that Dixon said on social media that she was traveling to the New Orleans area to ‘defile a house of God’ with another dominatrix.
Cheng, arrested alongside her, describes herself as a ‘Chinese/German 5’11 Goddess’ based near Atlanta, but moving back to LA in 2020.
Archbishop Gregory Aymond released a statement on this situation as well as on another newly revealed sex abuse scandal within the diocese. Rev. Pat Wattigny confessed to sexually abusing a minor which occurred in December 2013.
“It is a very tough time to be a Catholic in the Archdiocese of New Orleans to say the least,” said Archbishop Aymond.
He also said, “Let me be clear, both were removed from ministry immediately and will never serve again in Catholic ministry.”
Archbishop Gregory Aymond consecrated the new altar in the church on Saturday evening.
Clark was released from jail on a $25,000 bond. Cheng and Dixon posted bonds of $7,500.
All three could face six months to three years in prison if convicted of obscenity.

Bradley Phillips, the lawyer for Dixon and Cheng insists that the obscenity charge is ridiculous because the entire situation involves “consenting adults” engaging in sexual acts on private property and that it was only reported because a “peeping tom” stepped onto that private property and looked through the window.
Phillips might be right on that count, but the private property in question belongs to the Roman Catholic Church, not Clark, Dixon, or Cheng.
There is something deeply disturbing about a priest engaging in sex acts on the altar of the church with two dominatrices.
The Archbishop clearly made the right call in this situation.
