Photos Reveal Gavin Newsom’s ‘Outdoor Birthday Dinner’ For A Friend Was Mostly Indoors With A Lobbyist

It looks like Governor Gavin Newsom wasn’t completely honest in his apology for being seen at the swanky Napa Valley restaurant with a large group of people.

It looks like Democrat politicians in California are batting a thousand these days…

Why is it always to hang out with lobbyists?

Apparently, Governor Newsom’s close, personal friend, Jason Kinney, who had a big 50th birthday bash at the high-end French Laundry restaurant in the Napa Valley, is also a lobbyist.

What a bizarre coincidence!

Governor Newsom was criticized for being spotted at a dinner party with 12 people at one of the most exclusive restaurants in America while he’s telling Cali residents that they have to change the way they celebrate Thanksgiving — eat outside, limit the guest list to no more than 3 households, and wear a mask between bites of food.

FOX 11 has obtained exclusive photos on Tuesday night of Governor Gavin Newsom allegedly eating at the French Laundry restaurant in Yountville, California at a dinner party he attended on November 6 not following his own COVID-19 protocols he set forth for the state…

…Newsom said he realized as soon as he sat down at the outdoor table that the group was larger than he had expected to celebrate the 50th birthday of Jason Kinney, a political adviser that Newsom said he has known for 20 years.

FOX 11 reached out to Newsom’s office and they referred us to his previous apology and will not comment on the specifics of this report.

Photos show an unmasked Governor Newsom in close quarters in an “outdoor” room that had sliding glass doors. The fellow restaurant patron who snapped the pics said that the group got loud, and eventually, the glass doors were closed.

Fox 11 L.A. examined the metadata of the photos and found that they were authentic.

Here’s the news report with the unnamed photographer detailing what she saw.

UPDATE:

It looks like California Medical Association officials were with Governor Newsom were also in attendance. So, it wasn’t just the Governor making a bad decision, it was the “medical experts” who are advising him on the restrictions he’s imposing on the residents of the state that were flouting the rules literally right next to him. Shameful!

California Medical Association officials were among the guests seated next to Gov. Gavin Newsom at a top California political operative’s opulent birthday dinner at the French Laundry restaurant this month.

CEO Dustin Corcoran and top CMA lobbyist Janus Norman both joined the dinner at the French Laundry, an elite Napa fine dining restaurant, to celebrate the 50th birthday of lobbyist and longtime Newsom adviser Jason Kinney, a representative of the powerful interest group confirmed Wednesday morning.

Both Norman and Corcoran are friends of Kinney, as is Newsom, who referred this week to his 20-year friendship with Kinney. In a photo obtained by Fox LA, Norman is clearly visible seated to Newsom’s left.

The presence of CMA brass could amplify criticisms of the dinner occurring despite coronavirus restrictions that have limited Californians’ movements and constrained businesses. While Newsom and Kinney’s lobbying firm have said the meal abided by public health rules, it has struck a chord with Californians who have assailed the upscale soiree as hypocritical as coronavirus cases surge.

California attorney, GOP Chairwoman for Cali, and frequent guest on Fox News summed it up perfectly.

If Democrats didn’t have double standards, they wouldn’t have standards at all.
