What Exactly IS This Secretive Firm Joe Has Been Picking His Team From, Anyway?

Have you heard of WestExec Advisors? It’s a little less than 4 years old, but for some reason, many of Joe’s top picks are coming from there. Here’s the 411.

The Democrats love to throw around that term ‘dark money’ any chance they get, don’t they? But when the money (or other power-broker associations) happen to benefit Democrat causes, their curiosity and outrage strangely dissipate.

It’s the damnedest thing, really.

This mysterious private firm doesn’t officially lobby the government for money. This lets their client list enjoy the protections of secrecy. That doesn’t mean these unnamed players couldn’t have any influence on the (as-yet unconfirmed) Biden Administration.

After all, a quick look at the Senate’s report on the Hunter Biden affair shows that there is a real possibility of the Bidens themselves posing a national security risk because of their deep financial associations to both China AND Russia (and heaven alone knows who else might yet turn up).

Despite their non-lobbyist status, the website itself clearly has a high opinion of their importance in the political sphere (their name is a not-so-subtle clue to that same opinion):

WestExec Advisors is derived from “West Executive Avenue,” the closed street that runs between the West Wing of the White House and the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. It is, quite literally, the road to the Situation Room, and it is the road everyone associated with WestExec Advisors has crossed many times en route to meetings of the highest national security consequence.

As Politico’s Quint Forgey noted:

And staffers are poised to cross it again — en masse.

The firm, which now looks like a government-in-waiting for the next administration, was founded in 2017 by Tony Blinken, President-elect Joe Biden’s choice for secretary of State, and Michèle Flournoy, a top contender for secretary of Defense. And one of its former principals, Avril Haines, is Biden’s pick for director of national intelligence.

But little is known about WestExec’s client list. Because its staffers aren’t lobbyists, they are not required to disclose who they work for. They also aren’t bound by the Biden transition’s restrictions on hiring people who have lobbied in the past year. —Politico

Instead of lobbyists, they have used a work-around of acting as ‘strategic consultants’ for … whoever the hell they worked for.

WestExec is loaded with other former top Democratic national security and foreign policy officials who raised money for the Biden campaign, have joined his transition team, or have served as unofficial advisers.

At least 21 of the 38 WestExec employees listed on the firm’s website donated to the Biden campaign; Flournoy alone raised more than $100,000.

Five WestExec staffers — all veterans of the Obama administration — are on leave from the firm to help staff Biden’s review teams for the Pentagon, the Treasury Department, the Council of Economic Advisers and other agencies, which are charged with coordinating the transfer of power between outgoing Trump officials and Biden’s appointees. —Politico

How convenient that so much help is coming from this ‘bipartisan’ group of insiders.

We remind our readers that Joe Biden PERSONALLY advocated that the Logan Act be weaponized against a decorated war hero for serving on a transition team and coordinating with his foreign counterparts… while being unlawfully surveilled by the Obama/Biden Administration.

Flynn has faced crippling court proceedings including falsified DOJ reports to which his defense counsel was denied access… until they came to light years after the fact and this STILL stands before the courts because a judge has decided to make himself Judge AND Prosecutor to string him along for the last half of forever.

But Joe Biden can fill his team with Big-Money bundlers who just happened to have been working in DC for the entirety of the Democrat Resistance Movement (wouldn’t it be nice to know what hand they had to play in any of those events, or the leaks?) and could have connections (fair or foul) with parties around the planet and we would be none the wiser.

We have no idea who these people have been working for, or what causes they have been backing.

How many others in Joe’s circle are like the Chief of Staff that Jill Biden’s wife hired just happen to represent strong financial parties whose interests, we would argue, potentially conflict with the national interests?

They simply do not want us to know.

Criticize Trump however you like, the one thing even his harshest critics can’t say with a straight face is that Trump was too ‘secretive’ or that he was unavailable to the Press.

Between this staffing insight, his hostility at the first reporter to ask an actual probing policy question (about whether schools should open) and his campaign consisting of canned answers and scripted answers to complicit reporters, Biden’s already on track to make someone as opaque as Obama to seem like he was transparent in his dealings with the press.
