If the only place you ever got your news was from the shrieking outlets on the left, you are probably convinced that Trump not only approves of the attack on the Capitol but that he was hoping to stage some kind of a military coup in the process.
As easy as those claims are to make, they are even easier to fact-check. But instead of cherrypicking one person in one incident, let’s look across a series of similar incidents so we can see who is being consistent in their principles, and who is moving the goalposts to defend their friends and attack their rivals.
In the past year, two instances in particular stand out in which angry mobs descended upon Federal buildings associated with the seat of power.
The one fresh in everyone’s mind is from this week when an angry crowd broke their way into the Capitol building.
When the George Floyd incident was first hitting critical mass, an angry crowd assembled in Lafayette Park, torched an historic church, and threatened to overrun the White House.
Dan Bongino recently mentioned on a show that one of his old buddies in the Secret Service mentioned that they weren’t sure whether the attempt to overrun the fence and gain entry might be successful.
Trump, for his part, called for peace both in June and in January, making a clear distinction between lawful protest and violent mayhem.
Further underscoring that point is his Press Secretary’s official statement this week, specifically addressing both incidents.
Let’s compare that to the reactions Mr. Unity had to this week’s incident.

And soon-to-be-Veep Heels-Up was no better…

Let’s check how consistent they are to those principles of theirs, what did we hear from them last summer? We already see her lies that last summer was peaceful… and she’s already looking to not let this crisis go to waste, as she rushes forward to mainline her party’s beloved critical race theory dogmas. And for his part, what did Joe Biden say about last summer?
For one thing, he openly mocked the security protocols. Remember when the guy who never left his basement during a political campaign mocked a president who deferred to his security team’s instructions and protocols?
He ran an ad:
“Donald Trump: Too scared to face the people, too weak to lead,” the ad’s narrator begins. “The nation marches for justice, and like a deer in the headlights, he’s paralyzed with fear. He doesn’t know what to do, so he hides in his bunker. Then he’s afraid he looks too weak, so he has tear gas and flash grenades used on peaceful protesters, just for a photo op. The cries for justice grow. Where is Donald Trump? Too scared to face the people, too small to meet the moment, too weak to lead.”
Here’s how he characterized the days where the White House itself had been under attack…
“The last four years we’ve had a president who’s made his contempt for our democracy, our Constitution, the rule of law clear in everything he has done. He unleashed an all-out assault on the institutions of our democracy from the outset, and yesterday was but a culmination … of that attack,” he added.
Biden then repeated the debunked Bible claim.
“He deployed the United States military, tear-gassing peaceful protesters in pursuit of a photo opportunity in the service of his re-election, even holding the Bible upside down. The action that led to an apology from the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and an outspoken denunciation of the use of military for domestic political purposes from scores, scores of former military leaders and secretaries of defense, led by Secretary [Dick] Cheney,” Biden said, according to NPR. –WesternJournal
Tear-gassing peaceful protesters. Mr. Unity here didn’t even wait until he was sworn in before going out of his way to further inflame tensions.
They want us to think that June was peaceful protesters harrassed by law enforcement Democrats (Pelosi among them) denounced as ‘storm troopers’, while July was violent and treated with kid gloves.

Where were the cries of ‘insurrection’ during the Kavanaugh hearings — in which Heels-up Harris baselessly slandered a duly-appointed judge who should enjoy the same protections and respect as Kamala did according to her Article One, or (soon) Article Two status. Is that ‘respect’ for Democracy and Rule of Law?
One of the people arrested this week happened to be an Antifa/BLM rioter arrested from last summer. In all likelihood, he received some of the bail money Kamala and her ‘Rule Of Law’ Socialist / Democrat buddies.
The media flunkies who tore their robes in anguish over the desecration of this sacred space this week, backed the violent protesters with full-throated rage through the summer.
