When we look at the deliberate and systemic failures to defend the Southern border, it makes you wonder who else HASN’T been caught sneaking in.
For all the talk we heard about putting ‘country before party’ this sure doesn’t look like he cares a lot about the good of the country.
Joe, key Dems, and the various special interests whose policies they have been busy rolling out since late January may be safe behind security barricades — but the rest of America sure isn’t.
The same Democrats who have called up the National Guard to protect the country — read: themselves — from unnamed and indeterminate threats to the Capitol (transparency and accountability, perhaps?) have been neglecting their explicitly named Constitutional duty of providing for the common defense.
It was bad enough when we knew that human traffickers and sex offenders were crossing the border with impunity…
Escalating his attack on the Biden administration’s immigration policies, Gov. Greg Abbott said his monthlong initiative to help secure the Texas border has resulted in almost 600 criminal arrests and 6,000 referrals to federal authorities about unauthorized border crossings.
Speaking Thursday in Weslaco, about 10 miles north of the Rio Grande, and flanked by several law enforcement officials, Abbott said the recent rise in unauthorized crossings at the border have resulted in an “open season” for human- and drug-trafficking cartels. —Statesman
Now we’re dealing with actual terrorists slipping into the country…
At least two Yemeni nationals who were placed on the FBI’s terror watchlist have been arrested in California after crossing illegally from Mexico into the United States.
The two unnamed men – one 33, the other 26 – were detained over the last three months in the Calexico area of California.
The captures were made by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents assigned to the El Centro Station.
CBP said in a statement on Monday that the two men were on a U.S. government watchlist for terrorism suspects, and were also named on a ‘no-fly’ list.
‘Part of the Border Patrol’s mission states we will protect the country from terrorists,’ said Chief Patrol Agent Gregory K. Bovino.

The ones that are caught are literally the least of our worries in this issue. Looming larger is this problem:
Mayorkas said the border was secure but my same sources at CBP command tell me that they are averaging over 1,000 “got-aways” per day.
“Got-aways” are illegal aliens who enter the country unlawfully and are not caught.
The CBP base this number on sensor traffic, camera traffic and foot signs that they could not respond to because they were tied up with hundreds of family units and children.
I have said many times in op-eds for this website and in numerous Fox interviews that the cartels in Mexico control the border.
Intelligence reports clearly show that the cartels coordinate the movements of large family groups in one area to overwhelm the Border Patrol so they can move drugs, gang members, criminals and others that don’t want to get caught into the U.S. through the unguarded section of the border. —TomHoman
Who might be among these ‘got-aways’?
Here are a few possibilities:
This was LAST year, when we were still trying to secure the border…
And for anyone indifferent to geopolitics, how about this:
Fentanyl smuggled in… burritos? 🌯
Yesterday, Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents seized $60K worth of fentanyl pills hidden inside burritos after a K9 alerted to a vehicle at an immigration checkpoint.

Or worse still…
Does anyone in DC care NOW?
Or will it take some kind of a mass-casualty event to make us see the danger?
Of course, Democrats would most likely use it as a cue, not to secure our border, but to outlaw Second Amendment rights.
