It seems that her bruised ego trumps her commitment to environmentalism.
Ever since Elon Musk made headlines for standing up for free speech and committed to buying Twitter, a number of people on the Environmentalist Left have been going sour on their Teslas.
Even more so after he announced on Twitter that he’s no longer voting Democrat but will be supporting the GOP.

Days after Elon’s tweet, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) told Bloomberg News that she is thinking of selling her Model 3 Tesla.
While there are probably a multiplicity of factors — it doesn’t seem to be the actual performance of the electric vehicle itself.
No, it seems to be a political decision, but she’s trying to put a patina of Leftism on her sudden distaste for Teslas. According to AOC, it’s because she wants to support a unionized car manufacturer.
“He’s a billionaire. I could care less what he thinks,” Ocasio-Cortez, a progressive Democrat who recently had a Twitter dustup with Musk, said when asked about his support for the GOP.
Ocasio-Cortez bought her Model 3 to travel between Washington and her Bronx-Queens district after Covid-19 hit in 2020. Now, the New York representative wants to ditch it for an electric vehicle made by unionized workers. “At the time, it was the only EV that could get me from New York to Washington on like one, or one-and-a-half charges,” she said. “I would love to switch.”

Recently, Musk got into a little Twitter dust-up with the vacuous Rep. AOC who constantly rails against the existence of “the rich.”
Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy ☺️

LMAO: Elon Musk Has The PERFECT Reply To AOC’s Whining About Billionaires
While throwing her own sentiment back at her probably stung a bit, it was perhaps Musk’s more recent tweets on political affiliation that has made AOC (even more) bitter.
First, he posted a meme about how the left has moved further left and abandoned the center. Many people who are suddenly finding categorized as “right-wing” for defending free speech which used to be championed by the left, or opposing extreme teaching on race or gender identity in schools, feel that the cartoon is accurate.

Musk also tweeted that he’d be voting Republican perhaps for the first time ever because the Dems have become so crazy.

This provoked a response from one of the former Obama staffers of the PodSave America Podcast, who tweeted that Elon was tossing his support to “electric-vehicle hating climate deniers”
Hi Jon! You’re a good dude, but obv die-hard Dem, so have to support the party, but this Adminstration has done everything it can to sideline & ignore Tesla, even though we have made twice as many EVs as rest of US industry combined.

I’ve just switched from moderate D to moderate R, as I think many independent voters have done.
We will know the magnitude of this trend in November. I think it’s big.

While Big Government Dems like Favreau insist that innovation is only possible through government hand-outs, that isn’t the case. While there were government subsidies, it was private business made Tesla.
Correct

The Bloomberg article also notes that owning a Tesla is becoming a political symbol.
“Stepping out of one in the Capitol Hill parking lot can be a signal of support for renewable energy — but with Musk’s dive into partisanship, it also can be a political symbol,” states the article.
While the “Green” members of Congress like AOC are looking for Tesla alternatives, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is considering buying one and libertarian Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) has proudly owned one since 2013.
“This is not a car company, it’s a battery company,” said Massie, an MIT-trained engineer. “The car is just their first killer app.”
What we are seeing is a realignment of policies and priorities that is affecting how the Left and the Right view a number of issues — and Teslas are becoming a symbol of that.
Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.
Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.
This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
