Risk-averse ‘experts’ in labcoats nodded solemnly and told us ‘we can’t be too careful’. As it turns out … they were wrong. You actually CAN be too careful.

When the pandemic swept through, it quickly became clear that the one group who faced the least risk of getting seriously ill — or even sick at all — were school-age children.

That didn’t stop us from locking down schools and applying social distancing protocols to the little ones.

Some of us were screaming that we needed to consider the negative implications and consequences of locking down kids. Our voices were drowned out by the ruling class.

Now, we get to see exactly what those tradeoffs are — apart from the obvious social and learning losses.

Thomas Murray, an infection-control expert and associate professor of pediatrics at Yale, told The Washington Post on Monday that his team was seeing children with combinations of seven common viruses – adenovirus, rhinovirus, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), human metapneumovirus, influenza and parainfluenza, as well as the coronavirus.

Some children were admitted with two viruses and a few with three, he said.

‘That’s not typical for any time of year and certainly not typical in May and June,’ he said.

…Other strange patterns have emerged.

The rhinovirus, known as the common cold, is normally not severe enough to send people to hospital – but now it is. —DailyMail

As it turns out, over-compensating and protecting the immune system from any exposure to viruses makes people, including kids, more vulnerable.

Our overreaction to an illness that does NOT usually hospitalize children has made them more vulnerable to viruses that — because their immune systems are less robust — have been sending kids to the hospital at a noticeably higher rate than usual.

So, as we said, you really CAN be too careful.

Dear Christian: Your Fear Is Full of Crap

by Doug Giles

Beginning in March 2020, many Christians went into lockdown-freak-out mode.

They “socially distanced” themselves from corporate worship and from pretty much everyone and everything else, except, of course, liquor, and grocery stores.

Uncut, irrational, unbiblical, and not to mention, unconstitutional, fear gripped many churches and church leaders.

Should pastors publicly repent if they obeyed Fauci in regard to how they conducted their ministry instead of adhering to the clear commands of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords?

That’s a legit question, eh?
