And that’s not all that the former Democratic presidential candidate had to say about the party she’s left…
It comes as no surprise since she was halfway out the door anyway… but her critique of the party is a thing of beauty!
In a brief video clip of her new podcast posted to Twitter, the former Congresswoman made the announcement in a thread.
She is spot-on with her criticism.
“I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are hostile to people of faith & spirituality, demonize the police & protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, dragging us ever closer to nuclear war,” she wrote.
“I believe in a government that is of, by, and for the people,” she continued. “Unfortunately, today’s Democratic Party does not. Instead, it stands for a government of, by, and for the powerful elite. I’m calling on my fellow common sense independent-minded Democrats to join me in leaving the Democratic Party. If you can no longer stomach the direction that so-called woke Democratic Party ideologues are taking our country, I invite you to join me.”

Gabbard has not made any indications that she was joining the Republican Party or if she will remain independent.

Gabbard tried to give a different face to the Democratic Party — unfortunately, the leadership is intransigent refusing to give an inch on anything.
It’s not the Democratic Party of JFK anymore.
Good for her for walking now that there is just too much daylight between her position and the party’s positions.
