Resurfaced South Park Clip Reveals How 2014 Parody Has Become 2023 Reality (VIDEO)

The clip has been shared widely by conservatives in the last few days.

The two-minute and twenty-second clip from Season 19’s episode “The Cissy” begins with Eric Cartman yelling at the boys in the bathroom, then putting a bow on his head and walking out of the boys’ bathroom and immediately into the girls’ bathroom.

He is stopped by one of the girls asking him, “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” He responds that he’s going to “use the potty.”

When she tells Cartman that he is in the girls’ bathroom, he replies that he is “transginger” — which Cartman repeatedly says instead of “transgender” throughout the episode.

“Did you notice the bow? I’m not comfortable with the sex I was assigned at birth, so I’m exercising my right to identify with the gender of my choice,” Cartman tells Wendy. He then adds, “now get out of my way I have to take a sh**.”

The episode focuses mainly on the conflict between the girls of the school who resent Cartman’s ploy and the teachers who find themselves unprepared to address the situation. They ultimately decide to appease Cartman with his own restroom in the janitor’s closet to avoid the so-called political ‘hot potato’.
The revived attention towards ‘The Cissy’ follows South Park’s new ‘World-Wide Privacy Tour’ episode, in which creators Trey Park and Matt Stone mock Prince Harry and Meghan…
…Mr Garrison the teacher then warns the principal not to confront Cartman on his identification as a woman to use the girls’ bathroom, telling him: ‘Nobody else is going to know that. You better just give him what he wants.’

Cartman is portrayed as the self-centered antagonist of the show who will do whatever it takes for his own benefit no matter how it affects others.

The Daily Mail explains that the episode resolves in the usual bizarre, South Park fashion.

The show edges towards a serious conversation on gender identity between Cartman’s friend Stan and his father Randy Marsh, before Randy reveals he uses the women’s bathroom at work and has since become the pop singer Lorde.
In the end, Randy’s colleagues accept his identity as Lorde and Cartman loses out when the school moves to use unisex bathrooms.
The school makes an exception for people bothered by this, which they term ‘Cissy Bathrooms’.

In Season 23, which aired in 2019, South Park featured a “transgender woman” competing against women in a “Strong Woman” competition and easily taking the win.

Many social media users had been posting the clip or a screenshot of the podium in response to men identifying as trans and competing in women’s sport — especially of reports or photos praising transgender UPenn swimmer Lia Thomas.

Back in 2014 and 2019, this was considered parody.

Now, it’s the reality that women all over North America have to deal with.
