MOVE OVER, DISNEY: Conservative Media Giant Launches Children’s Entertainment App

Saturday morning cartoons are making a comeback along with so much more.

The Daily Wire has been working for the past year on creating wholesome, safe content for kids without all of the ahistorical nonsense or the woke indoctrination about race and gender.

They have launched a brand new app called Bentkey with over 100 episodes of children’s content already available, and the best part is that they’re going to post new content every Saturday morning.

Daily Wire’s co-founder Jeremy Boreing announced the launch of the app while on location in Croatia filming a scripted series for Daily Wire+ based on the popular “The Pendragon Cycle” books by Stephen R. Lawhead.

Boreing noted that the announcement was made on the 100th anniversary of the day Walt Disney founded his company.

“While Disney still uses Walt’s name, they have all but abandoned his legacy,” said Boreing. “It’s taken 100 years to build Disney. We know we aren’t what they are today, but we hope in time we might become what they were once upon a time: a little studio with big ideas and the courage to chase them.”

Initially, the endeavor was called DW Kids, but in the announcement, Boreing explains that the name was just too political since it was tied to the Daily Wire which is largely politically conservative content, although the brand is expanding with the inclusion of sports shows and Jordan Peterson’s catalog of lectures.

The new Bentkey app launched with 18 different shows, most of which are licensed. Four original shows have been created with VeggieTales and Babylon Bee alumni.

Programs that will appear on the service include “Chip Chilla,” an animated original series about a family of homeschooled chinchillas; “Tish Tash,” an animated series about a young girl and her imaginary friend; “Kid Fit Go,” an original series about having fun while exercising, “Jasmine & Jambo,” an animated musical series, and more.

What they’re saying: In a pre-recorded video announcing the launch, Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing cited Disney’s politics, alleging that the firm “pushes all the worst excesses of the woke left.”

  • “It would be impossible to overstate just how big a loss this is for Americans who believe in basic reality. Disney controls the greatest content library ever created,” he said.
  • The new app is being overseen by he same leadership as the Daily Wire. Boreing took a leave of absence as co-CEO in July to direct a fantasy series for Daily Wire+, leaving Caleb Robinson as the firm’s sole CEO.

The content looks top-notch.

In addition to all of that series content, a full-length, live-action Snow White movie will be released in 2024 starring popular YouTuber, Brett Cooper, who hosts the Daily Wire’s YouTube show, “The Comments Section.”

It’s a real swipe at Disney’s live-action “updated” version of its classic “Snow White” that basically built the brand. The new Disney Snow White starring Rachel Zegler in the titular role has been mired in controversy a year before its release. From the not-so-white Snow White, to the photos of non-little people, diverse-casting of the “dwarves”, to the feminist take on the fairy tale that may or may not have a prince… it sounds like a complete departure from the original story.

The Daily Wire today revealed a teaser for the movie, which opens with a melody voiced by Cooper and written by Jeremy Boreing and a pan through a forest to reveal Cooper as Snow White.
Announcing the project to staff today, the Daily Wire’s Boreing said: “It’s a story about a princess and a prince, about beauty and vanity, about love and its power to raise us from death to life. It’s our own adaptation of an ancient fairy tale.”
“I was raised on the original Grimms’ Fairy Tales, so I’m thrilled that we’re bringing this iconic story to life for the next generation,” said Cooper. “Snow White is such a beautiful character, and I’m honored to be playing her. Like all the best fairy tales, this is a story with timeless values, like love, friendship, and kindness, and I can’t wait to share them.”

The reception to the Bentkey app has been great already.

Conservative parents and grandparents have been wanting something like this for some time.

The full catalog of kids content can be accessed through a Daily Wire + subscription, or you can just access the kids content for $99 per year.

That’s a bargain to entertain your kids with content that won’t turn them into woke zombies by the time they’re in middle school.
