Trump Scores Three Big Wins Less Than One Day After The Election

Will the 'news' media be sharing any of these stories?

While the rest of us were busy cheering (or crying) about the election results, the world kept turning and events continued to unfold at home and around the world.

Three things that connect DIRECTLY to Trump’s promises were seen within 24 hours of the election.

We see one event at home, and two events with hostile powers abroad.

Accomplishment 1: the economy

(This chart was put out by Reuters.)

Since Joe/Kamala never missed an opportunity to brag about the stock market and take personal credit for those times it went higher, what happened to the stock market within a day of his being elected is a helpful measure of what folks with skin in the game think will happen with the stock market in a Trump economy.

We’re seeing indexes like the DJI and NASDAQ hitting record highs.

What about hostile powers abroad?

Remember when Trump said the war in Ukraine would be over *snaps fingers* like that?

Accomplishment #2: The War In Ukraine.

The Kremlin is making cautiously optimistic statements about the possibility of resolving the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Trump had made some important statements about wanting to end the Ukraine war during his campaign, but only time would tell if they led to action.

“Let us not forget that we are talking about an unfriendly country, which is both directly and indirectly involved in a war against our state” (in Ukraine),” Peskov told reporters.
Peskov said he was not aware of any plans by President Vladimir Putin to congratulate Trump on his victory and that relations with Washington were at an historic low.
“We have repeatedly said that the U.S. is able to contribute to the end of this conflict. This cannot be done overnight, but… the U.S. is capable of changing the trajectory of its foreign policy. Will this happen, and if so, how … we will see after (the U.S. president’s inauguration in) January.” — Reuters

Is that the same as Putin announcing he’s going to cease hostilities? Obviously not.
But even a hypothetical openness to ending the conflict is.an opportunity that a skilled negotiator might be able to leverage for good.

Accomplishment 3: Iran

At a moment in history where Iran has taken a surge in wealth and dumped it into war efforts that destabilize the Middle East, it makes sense than any story about Iran’s economy taking a hit will be good news for peace in the region.

This is especially relevant now as Iran and Israel have been edging closer and closer to full-scale direct conflict instead of their endless war by proxies.

What happened when news broke that Trump would be the next President? Iran’s currency took a tumble.

Iran’s currency fell on Wednesday to an all-time low as Donald Trump clinched the U.S. presidency again, signaling new challenges ahead for Tehran as it remains locked in the wars raging in the Middle East.

[…] “One-hundred percent he will intensify the sanctions,” said Amir Aghaeian, a 22-year-old student. “Things that are not in our favor will be worse. Our economy and social situation will surely get worse.”

Interesting.

And we’ve got another 3 months before Trump gets sworn in.

What a difference strength and competence can make.
